Apparently up until the 1960/70s Vermont was a RED state.
It was the hippies from NYC like Ben & Jerry that moved into VT in the late 1960s early 70s that eventually out voted all the farmers and turned it into the socialist utopia.
There used to be signs up in the Northeast Kingdom of VT on a lot of the dairy barns that said “TAKE BACK VERMONT”.
The good thing now, is that the Amish have started buying up some of those family farms. I see their buggies now when I make my annual ski trip up to Jay Peak in the Kingdom. The NE Kingdom is the northern most part of the state right up on the Quebec border. It is the high valley between the Green Mountains. It is all dairy farms. A couple lakes right on the Canada border and two mountains (Jay and Burke) that dominate the landscape. Jay gets more natural snow than any other mountain east of Utah.
>There are still more cows in VT than humans.
They haven’t killed them all, or at least a bunch of them, in the insane belief it will help stop “climate change”?
I am mildly surprised.
“Tries” to?
The Hell is assuming no NYC cops responded?
Ben & Jerry’s, Cabot, and other major cheese/dairy producers are all located in VT.
They produce a lot of cows milk there.
Houston has some woke mayors and city politicians.
