June 1999, I walked by the downtown Washington, DC PBS TV station. The parking lot area was a circus of DEI. “They,” “them,” whatever were all hanging out there, for a chance to take a swing away at whatever truth might interfere with “their” imaginations.
Nina Totenberg.
Defund National Liberal Radio!
PBS gets government $$$ and still go begging for money!
They ALL have SPONSORS and SUPPORTERS....mostly foundations, I think.
Wait, wait, don't tell me.
I think that it is fair for those of us paying the bills to be reassured that the money is being well spent.
Tossing tax payer money to these entities without question is not good. It is obvious.
I wouldn't call it "pulling the funding", I'd call it "putting it up for bid". Whoever wants to buy it can, and they can broadcast whatever tripe they want - but the taxpayers are no longer going to pay for Marxist propaganda directed at them.
Anyone who disagrees with the sale can put their money where their mouth is.
I love classical music and listen to our local classical music station, but it is getting harder and harder to listen when each piece of music is followed by either a “commercial” or donations for money. The latest is to either donate property or cars. I am also getting tired of the blatant political correctness. Defund NPR and PBS!
Indeed money saved money earned.
Propaganda not selling any more.
Ahh, but they do take a position by the guests they feature, by the slant of questions they ask, by the questions they allow to be asked by audience members, etc.
That said, the Council is by far more credible than NPR, which is, frankly, laughable.
