There is no position where they can fudge an apostrophe in that word that would make it make sense. Where they’re sticking it, it becomes one singular supporter. And that doesn’t jive with the whole sentence.

I just watched/heard this again. No matter where they add an apostrophe, including up Joe’s stinky ass, after he said “supporters” was a clear end of the sentence. A full stop. A period. An apostrophe-free “supporters” is the only thing that makes sense.
