MiG-31 ambushes two F-16 jets while attempting to take off

Reports from Russian media, including Vzglyad, claim that at least two Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets were ambushed while attempting to take off from Starokostiantyniv airport in western Ukraine. Allegedly, this attack was executed by a Russian Mikoyan MiG-31 supersonic interceptor. These reports, dated September 26 of this year, concern the recent Russian assault on the airport in western Ukraine.

However, the Russian Ministry of Defense’s daily report for September 26 does not mention such an incident. Most Russian media reference the Voenno Delo [Military Business] Telegram channel, which is a Russian source. This account offers no additional details on the strike. It stated, “At the Starokostiantyniv airport, two F-16 fighters donated by the Netherlands were hit with a delay while trying to take off. There were also Su-24s at the airbase. The strike was carried out by an air ambush of four MiG-31Ks of the Russian Air Force with a hypersonic complex Kinzhal [Dagger].”

The real story is Russian Mig 31s killed 4 Ukrainian F-16 pilots .

That's the story but may not be the real story. I would not assume the pilots were Ukrainian.

Senator Lindsey Graham issued a press release last month that he and "Da Nang Dick" Blumenthal supported Zelensky's call for retired NATO F-16 pilots to fly for Ukraine.

https://www.lgraham.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/press-releases?ID=DB12ABDA-0E2C-4CD8-A5C2-D38B10837851

"We will introduce the Stand With Ukraine Act, led by Senator Blumenthal, when the Senate reconvenes in September."

"President Zelensky told us both that he would be looking to supplement his Air Force by establishing a program to enlist retired NATO F-16 fighter pilots. We support this effort. Ukraine is already fielding units of freedom fighters on the ground, and this volunteer force should be replicated in the air."

“”””The Russians will respond to further killing of Russian civilians by NATO by bringing NATO’s war to NATO (including the United States homeland).
So, the NATO aggressors can fly in from NATO bases to attack Moscow…but Russians are not allowed to shoot back at London, DC and Berlin.
That makes no sense.
Since it absolutely makes no sense, the Russians have changed the game. London, DC and Berlin are in the same jeopardy as Moscow.””””

You’ve been watching Russia struggle with their neighbor yet you think they want to go to war against the entire advanced world while they are already up to their necks in Ukraine alligators?

Amazing, how so many have the attitude the US MSM must be wrong, so everyone else must be telling the truth. The US press lies, the foreign press lies, and the Russian press lies and is not good at it.

Take a look at map where Starokostyantyniv is inside Ukraine, at least 200 miles from the nearest Russian border.

Russian aircraft are flying flying stand off missions to lob FAB GPS guided glide bombs and long range missiles. They are not flying deep penetration missions in Ukraine to dogfight the Ukrainian air force, the air defense is too heavy. This is why Russia stockpiles newly built cruise missiles and Shahed drones to launch large attacks once or twice a month.

Russia isn't dumb enough to risk irreplaceable Mig-31s on one-way trips to engage F-16s at low level like this. Ukraine wishes they would try it.

This is more of the same cheap Russian propaganda for domestic consumption to feed them the mythos about Russian military supremacy. It is amazing that after two years, how many in the West are still buying into this.

That makes no sense.

That’s how we fought the Korean War in regard to Chinese MiGs.

I noticd this morning that it only took one Russian announcement and that was end of the any more talk of firing missiles into Russia and Kursk is now officially in the retreat phase.

The F16s were being flown back and forth between Lithuania, Romainia and Poland before after missions in Ukraine. The F16s destroyed had just landed at the airfield, and were being armed in a touch and go operation. Russia was waiting.

Once Russia made clear how they would deal with NATO and the US the DNC now understands that the west is no longer able to hide behind their Proxy forces in Ukraine.

The Russian doctrine is the same as Israel’s. Those who arm the proxy will be targeted as well in the event of war using nukes.

These make the F-16s a threat to Russia. The Storm Shadows and ATACMS, the Russians can deal with. The JASSMs might push the Russians over the edge.

“The latest development worthy of discussion in last night’s edition of the talk show is the likely fitting of America’s air to ground JASSM missiles on the F-16s that have been and will continue to be delivered to Ukraine.

The acronym of this Lockheed produced weapon stands for Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile and its salient features are its range and its nearly undetectable characteristics in flight. The missile apparently has two basic variants, one for approximately 400 km and the other for 900 km.

The logic for fitting a couple of these missiles on an F-16 is to enable the jet to strike deep into Russia, as far as Moscow and beyond, even if they fly well back from the Russia-controlled territory in Ukraine to be safe from Moscow’s advanced air defense systems.”

Bring it on.

Ukraine is not really worth the effort. And certainly not worth making Northern Europe and Asia a wasteland. Even moronic Russian leaders know that.

Vlad needs to take his ballerina and her bastard kids to Switzerland and call it a day.

Because the US would be assisting on any strike on Russia. That’s why.

There you go again! Lying, because you know better.

The Russians attacked no one. After ten years and 14,000 murdered ethnic Russians, Russia took NATO’s war to NATO.

The Russians NEVER wanted this war. The Russians were always being swindled by NATO when they negotiated in good faith. After NATO attacked Ukraine in 2014, the Russians fell for the Minsk Scam. The Russians again tried to negotiate in 3/22 and as a show of good faith began withdrawing Russian forces back to Russia. Then NATO quashed the peace and attacked Russia again.

The aggressor here, NATO, is trying “to destroy Russia”. The Russians are merely trying to defend themselves. Of course, to a MSM addled admin stooge, this all about Russia, Russia, Russia taking its first steps towards its blitzkrieg on Lisbon.

And no, I’m not going off on one of your ridiculous misdirections on the new Russian Comintern. I’ve been dealing with your Circulars all thread long. You need to coach them up. They suck at parroting the admin’s lying narrative.

BTW
I do love it when Russian aircraft are destroyed within the second largest military, depots are completely destroyed, ships sunk, “state of the art AD” destroyed and big news when aircraft in Ukraine are destroyed

I know you don’t care

That was a completely whacked out post to what was my one and only post on this thread, can you translate that nuttiness and explain how it had anything to do with that post 22?

[...were being armed in a touch and go operation.]

Man those ground crews must be top notch!

Touch-and-go_landing:
It involves landing on a runway and taking off again without coming to a full stop.
