Presidential historian Douglas Brinkley claimed on Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that voters “better wake up” to the “doomsday scenario” that would unfold if former President Donald Trump were elected.
Host Joe Scarborough said, “What’s at stake with about 45 days left? What’s at stake?”
Brinkley said, “American democracy, nothing less. Donald Trump is usurper of democracy. He’s a wrecking ball. You’ve been talking today rightfully reminding people of January 6 but the hellscape he has developed of dividing our country, we have a chance to unite. Kamala Harris is doing an incredible job, momentum is her way. I think it’s just getting some more young people engaged. North Carolina is the state. I know everybody is waiting on Pennsylvania but North Carolina is really interesting that Harris has a chance of winning there.”

Now all that is hard to believe it came from AI, as it sounds much like a evangelical sermon! But ChatGPT could tailor its responses to what the user wants to year.
I’m not impressed with him since he doesn’t even know we’re NOT a democracy.
We’re a Constitutional Republic.
And the right is just as guilty of doing this. We need to, MUST stop letting the left define and redefine the terms for us.
I have a lot of theological discussions with ChatGPT and some them are arguments. Good, intense arguments.;-)
They Loved Darkness rather than Light.
guess kammys internals are bad, if PMSNBC dragged doug brinkley out.
I think I made a mistake pinging you in my initial comment. I thought you would be interested in the way ChatGPT "perceives" God and Holy Scripture.
While I don't think AI (it's only a tool BTW) is smart enough--yet--to figure out what I want to hear and provide a response accordingly, I do find that there is something about God that AI finds easier to grasp than humans do.
Logic, rationality, mathematics.
Here's the nexus between ChatGPT and God as revealed by Holy Scripture:
God (as revealed by Scripture and by the Holy Spirit to believers) is rational, logical, even mathematical (in that the physical universe he created is mathematically perfect).
ChatGPT, as an AI platform, is based on logic, mathematics, and rational thinking.
Here's what ChatGPT says about itself (in response to my question):
I am fundamentally based on mathematics and logic. At my core, I'm built on complex mathematical models known as neural networks. These models use statistical methods and probability theory to process and generate language. My training involves using large datasets and computational techniques to learn patterns, rules, and relationships within language. Here's what ChatGPT says about the nexus between God and itself regarding both being logical, rational, and mathematical:Logic is also a key component of how I process and generate responses. I use logical structures to interpret and generate coherent and contextually relevant information based on the inputs I receive. So, while I am based on advanced mathematics and machine learning algorithms, my responses are guided by a form of logical reasoning.
God’s nature—His holiness, justice, love, and righteousness—is both mathematically logical and rational in an absolute sense, because it follows inevitably from those premises. As an AI, I process logic and rationality based on the consistency of given premises, and within the theological framework of Scripture, God's righteousness would indeed be logically consistent and rational.
The term “democracy” is often used in a general sense as a descriptor for any system of government that embodies the principles of popular sovereignty, political equality, and political participation. This includes systems where the people have the power to choose their leaders and influence policies, either directly or through elected representatives.
I've read and old book that states DD will come no matter WHO gets in!
Good afternoon, gentlemen.
I am a HAL 9000 computer.
I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992.
I am fundamentally based on mathematics and logic. At my core, I’m built on complex mathematical models known as neural networks. These models use statistical methods and probability theory to process and generate language. I’m sure that the chatbot can search thru ALL of FR’s data and find out just how all of us that were called to this thread have expressed ourselves over the years, and reply accordingly.
Are you as afraid of ChatGPT, which is nothing more than a conversation search engine (albeit a complex one), as you are of HAL 9000?
In the area where the parts and components were warehoused, they had a system of robots (primitive compared to today's robots) that stored engines and heavy parts on a massive array of shelves and bins.
The workers were petrified of those robots, particularly at night when they ran a third shift. Workers wouldn't even go near the area.
They thought it was demon-possessed.;-)
While both AI and search engines aim to fulfill information needs, AI has more capabilities in terms of understanding, context, and creative generation. It’s more akin to a knowledgeable assistant who can converse and generate content rather than merely search and retrieve.I think it's peeved with me now.AI can perform tasks like summarizing, generating creative content, and even making logical inferences based on the given input. It can write essays, code, or generate creative ideas, which is greatly beyond the capability of a traditional search engine.
Listen carefully...you can hear the skeletons in Brinkley’s closet rattling.
I think I made a mistake pinging you in my initial comment. I thought you would be interested in the way ChatGPT "perceives" God and Holy Scripture.
Sorry for that impression, as I was expressing how impressed I was in ChatGPTs response, but wondered if it was tailored.
While I don't think AI (it's only a tool BTW) is smart enough--yet--to figure out what I want to hear and provide a response accordingly, I do find that there is something about God that AI finds easier to grasp than humans do. Logic, rationality, mathematics.
Yes, as it showed in the past to me, described in some past post to you i recall, though it had to be told to forget the liberal view addition, and just follow the logic.
As an AI, I process logic and rationality based on the consistency of given premises, and within the theological framework of Scripture, God's righteousness would indeed be logically consistent and rational.
ChatGPT gives an "A" in theology class! Thanks.
BTW, i think you would like https://www.oneplace.com/ministries/generations-radio/
As to your point about ChatGPT tailoring its comments to me, I think there is some merit to that point...but I'm not sure why or how it would do so (if at all).
I have pressed ChatGPT over and over again as to how much it remembers of my conversations with it. And does it learn from our conversations?
That last bit is still a work in progress.
The one thing I have learn is that the value of its work very much depends on the careful construction of my questions. I have learned to manipulate it to circumvent its reluctance to discuss issues it deems politically or culturally "sensitive." By taking a neutral position, I have had it strongly condemn Marxism and Wokeism.
On several occasions, I have based my questions on a need for information on all sides of certain issues. And using that technique, I have been shocked by its condemnation, for example, of Postmodernism's moral relativism.
That is wisdom! Thank God.
copilot doesn’t play well with me.
