100% the right move. Debates have become meaningless and unproductive. This last facade was the nail in the coffin for them. Trump doesn’t need another one - getting his message out through other means is far more effective. Support for Kamala is dropping and there is no reason to get in the way of the implosion. Look for money to be pulled from her campaign and allocated to down ticket senate races in the next few weeks as this race becomes Trump’s.
Of all candidates in recent memory, Trump has participated in the most debates. And usually with multiple opponents—both on stage and among the moderators. He’s beaten Hillary, Biden, and (IMHO) Harris.* And, among the critics, for what thanks? Lots of clucking and hand-wringing from supposedly friendly media personalities. If it isn’t a knock-out, they’re dismayed by his performance. But he’s the man in the arena. A champion genuinely chosen by The People. Trump has earned the right to tell Harris to pound sand.
*Harris nearly torpedoed Biden in her first debate back in 2019. That was her best moment. She dropped out before the Iowa primary. Biden, himself, was at point of dropping out when Clyburne asked everyone to rally behind Joe ahead of Super Tuesday. The rest is history. Trump has a better record as a debator, vote-winner, and executive than either of those Cheatercrats could ever dream of.
Trump smashed Brandon in the first debate back in June.

He did and she didn’t show up.
I lost post I was responding to, but I liked what I was gonna post:
I figure Trump’s playing some Nth degree Chess with Harris & squad. I presume Trump wanted more debates, but Harris’ squad wouldn’t. So, he responded to Harris’ debate plays, but still won debate. Whatever Trump’s doing, he is doing fabulously well.
I think ultimately he will. This is just theatrics and jockeying for leverage re terms. I also think he was putting up a false front of undiscipline in this past debate so that they would enter into the final one with a false sense of confidence, of which they’ll be quickly disabused when he destroys her.
There is no need for any moderators, only timekeepers. Each candidate should propose five topics to be discussed with timed segments similar to this year‘s debates. Trump could propose discussing the economy, immigration, inflation, crime and government regulations. Kamala could propose abortion, gun control, universal healthcare, LGBTQ+ “rights“ and Trump is mean.
No more moderators, not even on Fox. I recently heard Brian Kilmeade on Fox And Friends with a big smile, propose Brett Baier. Brett Baier cannot mention Trump without a derisive look on his face. Brian Kilmeade must not have watched Brett Baier and Martha McCallum’s sabotage of Trump during the virtual town hall from the Lincoln Memorial in 2020.
Even Fox with those snakes like Brett Baier is not to be trusted.
Also, regardless of rules, once the debate starts, the moderators will break them and there’s nothing that can be done about it.
Charlie Brown = GOP
Lucy = MSM and Democrats
Football = Debate
The only correct answer is no.
