DOUGLAS — Former Vice President Dick Cheney and former congresswoman Liz Cheney escaped censure by the Wyoming Republican Party at its central committee meeting on Saturday because those in the state GOP don’t consider them “Wyoming Republicans” anymore.
The Cheneys both said earlier in the week that they will vote for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid for president because they oppose former President Donald Trump.
At the Wyoming GOP’s Central Committee meeting on Saturday, the party declined to pass a resolution censuring the Cheneys because most of the membership does not view them as “Wyoming Republicans.” A censure is a verbal condemnation and holds no legal bearing.
Those at the meeting rejected the first consideration of the censure.
About an hour later, Big Horn GOP Committeeman Scott Brown brought up a new proposal to “denounce” the Cheneys, which was also rejected by a large majority.

I admit I liked Cheney when he was selected as VP.
That was long ago and he has changed. For all I know he may be as bad off as Biden, in terms of ability to know what is going on.
I put a lot of the blame for his decline on close members of his twisted family. Without going into detail, his daughters are on the dark side.
Objectively neither of them, particulary her, should be getting any media attention. He’s old and totally out of the loop. She was totally rejected by the voters of WY in her last election attempt. But since they are former Republicans and obsessively antiTrump, the DNC media (the MSM) periodically revitalizes their poltical corpses as having something meaningful to say.
Censuring them is not as big a deal as declaring them persona-non-grata in the party. Kicking them out without actually saying so. Brutal!

The people who own Wyoming mostly live in Jackson...with the cheynes, in very large log homes with sweet views and no state income taxes.

Most of us older Freepers are the same. We put our hearts and souls into supporting the Bush presidency only for them to betray us with the “New World Order”. The fact that the Bushes have been silent (at the minimum) and even added on to the narrative about Trump’s American First policies being evil and harmful to our nation is the final betrayal.
No he hasn’t changed one bit. He just hid it better. I was fooled also, but Trump really brings out the Deep Staters.
