The White House said Friday that the U.S. is “deeply disturbed” by the death of 26-year-old American activist Aysenur Eygi in the Israel-occupied West Bank, calling for Israel to investigate the killing.
Eygi, who was born in Turkey, was shot in the head during an antisettlement protest near Nablus, The Associated Press reported.
“We are deeply disturbed by the tragic death of an American citizen, Aysenur Egzi Eygi, today in the West Bank and our hearts go out to her family and loved ones,” White House National Security Council spokesperson Sean Savett said in a statement. “We have reached out to the government of Israel to ask for more information and request an investigation into the incident.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan decried Israel’s “barbaric intervention against a civilian protest against the occupation in the West Bank,” in a post on the social platform X.

“Nice shot, Yehuda!”
What about the American hostage that was just murdered?
Nah the US isnt concerned about that since they have to appease the pro hamas base..gee perhaps this person would not have died had she not thrown stones at IDF soldiers..sounds like another pro hamas freak
Play stupid games get stupid results

“Chopped liver”
It is possible you could find something about which I have less concern, but it is unlikely.
I hope he is the recipient of the 2024 Rachel Corrie Award.
Have they mentioned the Americans still being held hostage?
Well, I wonder if he thought he was at Columbia…”activitsts” in other countries need to keep reminding themselves that they are not in the US.
Lets see...
26 year old Turkish-born guy, doing community organizing in Nablus West Bank for an NGO called “International Solidarity Movement,” and whose website is only in English and is hosted in Maryland USA
Sounds very much like globalist CIA/State Dept agent/cut-out
What is an “aid worker” doing in the middle of a protest/riot?
Seems she might have been a little more “down with the cause” that she let on...
What is “Israeli occupied West Bank”?
Do they mean Arab-occupied Judea?
Another Saint Pancake.
Ouch...
Rough Neighborhood.
Yes, it does.
I hate to sound like an ass but any American (of any political persuasion) who puts themselves in countries or areas like this doesn’t really get my sympathy.
This guy should not have been anywhere near there. To be there enhances your chances of being arrested, kidnapped, beaten or killed.
Additionally, this guy was not just an innocent bystander either. He was an active participant.
Examples: Rachel Corrie and Benjamin Linder come to mind.
US ‘deeply disturbed’
Strange. I feel petty good!
