Seriously, What the Hell Is Wrong With Tucker Carlson?
PJ Media ^ | 09/04/2024 | Stephen Green

"Oops!... He Holocausted again," is one historian's take on Adolf Hitler and World War II, as presented yesterday on Tucker Carlson's X show.

FLASHBACK: I used to enjoy the occasional Tucker Carlson monologue on Fox News. His content was usually pointed and amusing and delivered with a breezy charm. But I rarely bothered with a Tucker Carlson interview. As an interviewer, too often, I found him strangely incurious and glib instead of breezy.

Carlson's interview on Tuesday with alleged historian Darryl Cooper — like his interview in April with Reverend Munther Isaac, referenced in today's flashbacks — was so much worse than merely glib or incurious.

Carlson chose to interview Cooper, whom he endorsed as "the best and most honest popular historian in the United States" to learn exactly how World War II didn't happen. According to Cooper — and Carlson nodded along the entire time — Winston Churchill was perhaps "the chief villain of the Second World War" and "primarily responsible for that war becoming what it did."

It's true that Hitler did not want or expect Britain to fight. He wanted Britain to acquiesce to German dominance of Europe from the Urals to Gibraltar and subsume the UK to Nazi interests. This is all a matter of historical record. Britain could fight or submit — that was Hitler's choice, not Churchill's.

FLASHBACK: Carlson chose to interview Isaac to find out how the Jewish State of Israel treats Christians. Isaac is a priest who neither lives nor works in Israel and who uses the loaded phrase "Occupied Palestine" as his location on his Twitter/X profile. He is a Palestinian Christian from Palestinian-controlled Bethlehem, where Christian ministers serve at the mercy of the Palestinian Authority.

The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich is the longest and most tedious book I ever read. Shirer was an FDR guy, But so was I.

Hitler told us most of he was going to do in Mein Kampf. The Nazis and Soviets were monstrous and brutal tyrannies. We had to join up with one to beat the other.

It was the early eighties when I first heard all the moaning about Dresden, the dropping of the bombs on Japan, and the internment camps in California. Up until then Shirer’s books and the British Ballantine’s series, plus television like the acclaimed “World at War” were accepted as the final word.

My father fought at Guadalcanal and Pelelieu. He thought anyone who criticized Roosevelt or Churchill was out of their flaming minds.

You are correct. Woodrow Wilson is more responsible for World War 2 than any other person.

Well how about Paul Johnson? Niall Ferguson? Why suck up to Nazi apologist historians? Tucker has gone full retard.

Why doesn’t this guy ask Tucker himself? Maybe he will get the answer instead of asking people who didn’t listen for themselves.

I have never taken Carlson seriously.

Not just because he worked at CNN and PMSNBC before landing at the Faux News Network.

I will never forget that Tucker got handed the most prized time slot in cable news when Ted O’Baxter left the network.

His first official show on his own was launched and was given a lot of hoopla.

And his first guest?

Bruce Jenner in a dress going by a female name.

He was never a conservative and was never that good a pretending to be one.

Whatever is the latest political fashion is fine with him.

Let’s say the war in Ukraine escalates even further and Putin nukes Ukraine. Then Biden retaliates and nukes Russia which escalates to a full out nuclear war killing 50% of the global population....How should history view Putin? How should it view Biden and the Globohomo empire behind the Maidan coup of 2014?

I believe Cooper rightly views Churchill how Biden and the Globohomo empire should be viewed and Hitler as how Putin should be viewed.

Ultimately, Putin would be the one responsible for the worst carnage but Biden was the one who set the stage for it to happen and had a number of chances to prevent it.

Did Carlson actually endorse Cooper’s views? I have no problem with anyone bringing on controversial guests and questioning their views - whether it’s a Hitler apologist or a Stalin apologist. Attempting to silence views is no way to refute those views.

Very sad about Tucker Carlson. How a man of his intelligence and appreciation of history could entertain and give a forum to such nonsense is bewildering. Is there not a reasonable consensus between mindless isolationism and a boundless zest for endless foreign entanglements? Actually would like Hanson to interview Carlson as to why he is fascinated and just what motivates him about the fringes.

RE: Attempting to silence views is no way to refute those views.

The author of this article in no way attempts to tell Carlson to silence Cooper. In fact, he wants a more balanced show and encourages Tucker to interview historians with opposing or different views.

Did you listen to the whole thing? Did you read his wrap up thread on X? If not then you are speak from an uninformed viewpoint.

Let’s say you were Biden’s adviser and he was inclined to listen to you... what would you advise him to do in February 2022?

It seems to bother people that Tucker interviews people whose opinions some do no like.

His job is to bring an interview to light.

Viewers job is to evaluate it.

Stand On Zanzibar [John Brunner].

Seriously, though - Tucker strayed near the Third Rail of American "thought" about World War II.

Looks like it'll be another 50-70 years at least before the sheep stop reflexively bleating when they hear the "H" word.

It's kind of amusing that the geopolitical people I listen to have to use code words when referring to "the Austrian gentleman" or "the mustachioed man", lest they get demonetized - even though they are condemning him.

No problem mentioning the world's Evil Uncle, Joe Stalin, by name though.

If Woodrow Wilson had not lied the U.S. into World War 1, the conflict would’ve ended in a ceasefire armistice.

I would not say Wilson lied to the U.S. Wilson initially preached neutrality at the onset of WW1. What changed his and America's posture toward Germany?

1. Germany's sinking of the Lusitania and other passenger ships turned American sentiment against Germany.

2. Germany's sinking of neutral U.S. cargo ships.

3. U.S. interception of the Zimmermann telegram, which was a secret diplomatic communication issued from the German Foreign Office in January 1917 that proposed a military contract between the German Empire and Mexico if the United States entered World War I against Germany. With Germany's aid, Mexico would recover Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Sounds like a plot to take out Tucker—call him a Nazi—sure that will win. If we can not examine the past—we are not historians. That was why I always objected to the ironclad approved history of the Holocaust. One couldn’t question it. Six Million Died (Even if 5.3 is accepted by Israel) and German records only list 4.8 Million. Even to say it might have been 7 million was off limits.

There’s so many of these interview guests though.

So either it’s an agenda of his, or these are the only people who are willing to talk to him anymore.

Hence why Patton was taken out and eliminated by the postwar Deep State.
