I don't trust newsweek's articles in general, and I would not vote for RFK. This opinion piece accepts RFK's belief that he would get more Trump voters than Kamala voters. For one thing Kamala/Walz is getting poll support from people who don't know squat about either. But this in interesting if it causes strife among the Dems. Note that, for the moment, a court has ruled that RFK's claim of NY residence is a scam, and if he loses that case, other states probably follow.

I fail to see how someone named “Bobby Kennedy” would take votes away from Republicans, haha.

Trump’s October Surprise will be an endorsement from Kennedy when he is not on the ballot in many states due to this NYS determination and decides to get back at the Dems who have done this to him.

Anyone who considers himself a conservative or a libertarian and votes for him is an idiot.

"Trump has a real incentive to get Kennedy out of the race," David B. Cohen, Professor of Political Science at the University of Akron in Ohio told Newsweek. Democrats projecting yet again.

State and national polls show that when third party candidates are included, Kennedy Jr. is taking more votes from Trump than Kamala Harris This line from the article doesn't align with the headline.

ClearCase_guy :" “Our Democracy” is a funny thing."
Considering that Harris has never won any primary vote
but rather has been installed by a back room committee
demonstrates the whole Democratic party machine.
Their "Democracy" for Presidential candidacy is a joke, and an oxymoron !

If Kamala believed that RFK would take more votes from Trump than from her, she would like RFK to stay on the ballot. But the premise that RFK would take more Trump votes is what RFK claims, not a proven fact.

I fail to see how someone named “Bobby Kennedy” would take votes away from Republicans, haha. This is all speculation. If a voter didn't believe there was anything wrong with RFK, and also believed TDS lies, and was anti-VAX, maybe. He would probably get a few votes.

I've been posting my poll analysis that has been saying the same thing for weeks now.

Bubbay draws more from Ds with the exception of perhaps two counties in PA. Otherwise, they wouldn’t fight so hard to keep him off the ballot.

I fail to see how someone named “Bobby Kennedy” would take votes away from Republicans, You're probably an older Republican, like me and many at FR.
I wonder how many younger voters even know who JFK was, or anything about the history of the Kennedy family.

Correct. If Kennedy was helping Harris, they would have never kicked him off the ballot.

RFK is mass-mailing pro-abortion cards in the Philly suburbs. He’s going to take a chunk out of the Democrats’ vote total there — assuming he’s allowed to stay on the ballot.

RFK Jr’s numbers have tanked since Harris came into the race..he took votes from Biden, because Biden was dead weight..just look at New Hampshire RFK Jr had 10 percent of the vote, now I think its about 3 percent..so he’s plummeting the best thing for him to do is endorse Trump and maybe Trump can offer him a position in his cabinet
To: Antoninus
Kamala: Oh sh**!
We begin to see why they want to ban him.
To: ding_dong_daddy_from_dumas
If kicking him off didn’t help kamalalaladingdong they wouldn’t be trying to.
