Fearing a Trump takeover, Justice Department alumni endorse Kamala Harris

For Justice Department employees who had spent weeks contemplating the possibility of two-time federal criminal defendant Donald Trump returning to the presidency, Joe Biden’s decision to drop out and endorse Kamala Harris offered a sense of relief.

Former and current Justice Department employees believe that a future president Harris, a former prosecutor, unlike Trump, would respect the norms that have been in place to ensure DOJ independence in the half-century since Watergate.

Those fears of another Trump term are central to a new letter endorsing Harris, signed by more than 40 former Justice Department officials who served under presidents of both parties. They include former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former deputy attorneys general Sally Yates, David Ogden and Jamie Gorelick, and John McKay, who was appointed as a top federal prosecutor in Washington state during the George W. Bush administration, among others.

“The fabric of the nation, the rule of law and the future of the Democracy are at stake in this election,” reads the letter, first obtained by NBC News. It warns: “The stakes could not be higher. Former President Trump presents a grave risk to our country, our global alliances and the future of democracy.”

Trump “regularly ignored the rule of law” as president, the former officials wrote, pointing out that one of his first acts was an “unconstitutional Muslim travel ban” and one of his last acts was an attempt “to stay in power by defying election results and the will of the American people.”

This article suggests the entire DOJ has to be purged of Commies. Someone better get busy on the Hill and draft and pass into law an effective subversion crime with teeth and stiff punishment to go with it that addresses the criminals undermining or Constitutional Republic before the country is destroyed from within.

It’s so much more fun when you can persecute political enemies than prosecuting genuine criminals.

They are terrified, this is them basically pulling out all the stops.
Evil has gone all in, no masks in the effort to stop Trump. I by no means think Trump is saintly but I do think this is evil fighting God’s will. Evil has dropped any pretense and is willing to be exposed to win this.

Biden Vows to Push Supreme Court Reform in Final Months in Office

https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/biden-vows-to-push-supreme-court-reform-in-final-months-in-office-5693442?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=TheLibertyDaily

“Over the next six months, I’ll be focused on doing my job as president,” he said, highlighting key goals such as boosting economic growth, lowering inflation, ** tightening gun control, and safeguarding the planet from what he described as a “climate crisis.”**

While President Biden has resisted pressure from the progressive wing of the Democratic Party to adopt measures such as imposing term limits on Supreme Court justices or packing the high court with additional justices, he did create a commission to examine possible Supreme Court reforms, including ending lifetime appointments. Ultimately, the 34-member commission did not endorse adding seats to the high court and took a neutral stance on term limits.
Darry Allen Sragow, a Democratic political consultant, told Reuters he was surprised that President Biden mentioned Supreme Court reform in his Oval Office speech.

“In a sense, that came out of nowhere, he didn’t have to put that in the speech, but the fact that he mentioned that suggested to me that in his mind, for the future of the country, this has become a high priority and what he is presumably referring to is the recent decisions coming out of a Supreme Court that is dominated by very conservative justices,” Mr. Sragow said.

1.3 million lawyers in the USA and it is assumed that in the first year law school they all take a course in “Dishonoring the Profession: How To Go About It.” Those with the highest scores are fingered for a job in the Department of Justice.

In other words, former DOJ employees who supported a coup against our Constitutional government are now skeerd that they might face charges.

I wonder how those FBI, DHS, USSS, and IC employees who supported the government's failed assassination attempt on Trump's life feel. I'll bet they are dreaming of another attempt.

DOJ independence??? The DOJ falls under the executive branch and, thus, the chief executive. Ain't nothing independent about it.

What was it Eric Holder said? "I am Obama's wing man"?

Another letter by deep state operatives who abused the DOJ powers to persecute Republicans and protect Democrats. These commies are shameless.

Recall that Jamie Gorelick erected the wall between the FBI and CIA to protect Clinton from charges of accepting campaign donations from the CCP. Unfortunately the wall allow Saudi terrorists to learn how to take off but not land planes.
