You said it or Tim Scott basically off handedly calling Trump a racist half the time while he was in office. Every candidate has a flaw somewhere just have to deal with it. In the spectrum of things this is minor.
No no. I’m not implying that there wouldn’t be things tossed at our candidate no matter who they are. It’s part of politics & it’s what they do. I’m simply saying when picking a VP, it really isn’t meant to be red about somebody ideologically pure, it’s about predicting your race & balancing your ticket, so that you are covered more broadly. He essentially chose Vance- white, working class, male- recommended by Don Jr. & Eric. Not particularly energetic or relatable. Trump already appeals to the white, working class, male vote. It’s his base. That demographic sees Trump himself as representative of them. Picking Vance did nothing to balance the ticket, didn’t draw in any voters, didn’t make up for a perceived deficit. Vance is sort of like Kristy Noem. He wrote a book, ran his mouth too much & now his negatives outweigh his positives. We are still going to choose our candidates on important stances, but it’s ignorant of us not to acknowledge the optics that will sway voters in the middle. The more we ignore that, the more we lose! 😉
Who knows? I doubt they will go that far, but sometimes such opinions (of the conservative women) should be kept to oneself. Stating every little disagreement only gives the other side animostic talking points.

That’s just 37 out of 541 members in Congress, including non-voting members, and means Americans would need to elect 59 more mothers of minor children to achieve proportional representation with the general population, where nearly 18 percent of adults are moms of minor children, and 15 percent are fathers of minors.
