I’m trying to make sense of JD Vance’s quote. Do you interpret it differently? He discusses this with Tucker Carlson, which is a follow-up to his original statement in another interview, which I haven’t found and listened to yet. Context is everything, though the sound bite is all most will ever read.
It’s the tendency. Single women tend to be pro-abortion, but married women tend to be against abortion. Liberals, who are childless, want social spending that supports themselves. When you have children, you are far more willing to forego social spending to not have deficits.
It’s not absolute, but that is the tendency. If I am only responsible for myself, I am going to concern myself with what is good for myself, regardless of the price others have to pay.

Just going to say: this is a huge part of vetting VP candidates. Vance wasn’t a good choice. I knew that. But we keep repeating the same bs & standing around afterwards like ‘I don’t understand’. Women voters are a fact like it or not. There are too many of yall that are flippant about complaining about & not responding to the fact that females vote. I’m a Trump voter & conservative across the board, but the base of our movement has really terrible instincts about running campaigns. Two weeks ago I felt on top of the world. Now I feel we are getting outplayed AGAIN & everybody is in denial.
Look, we are trying to knock her for sleeping her way to the top, but our candidate had spent his life being a manwhore. If you are going to employ double standards, people will see it. There are a million openings on substance to attack her on, it’s just self-defeating to focus on DEI hire. We are literally walking into a trap laid on gender that has been laid for us. I don’t like identity politics- I find it nauseating & wrong. I still realize it exists & it’s used bc at this particular moment in time- it’s effective. If we walk into that trap, because identity politics ticks us off & it shouldn’t exist & just run on political incorrectnesd- they will win!
This isn’t smart. Sad thing is, this was obvious 2 months ago. I knew the instincts of our side & I knew that we would follow this format. If we were interested in actually winning the election, we would have been smart enough to run a Tulsi Gabbard, a Tim Scott, etc. Even though I was praying Joe would stay in (so much easier), I knew they we would end up with Cameltoe. Now they are running on feminism & we have we an all male ticket & they are running on color & we are all-white yet again.
