BERLIN (AP) – Climate activists glued themselves to the ground at Cologne-Bonn Airport in western Germany on Wednesday, forcing officials to suspend flights for a few hours, authorities said.
Police said five people glued themselves to a taxiway at the airport early in the morning, German news agency dpa reported. Flights were suspended for about three hours from about 5:45 a.m. while officers worked to remove the protesters.
The airport said that 31 flights were canceled and six had to be diverted.

They’re lucky I’m not in command. I’d arrest them all and put them to work cleaning prison and jail toilets. Let them see what it’s like to actually DO something positive that cleans and contributes...vs. pollutes and takes away from, since they’re supposedly so concerned about the “environment” (glue is toxic to the environment, btw).

Better than driving or landing the plane right over them. Might damage the plane or those within it. But although tempting burning them off with jet exhaust is expensive. Have some guys in hazmat suits dump lye around them. Instead of melting the glue off the skin, dissolve the skin off the glue. Once free they can strip and be hosed off to stop the dissolving.
From the looks of it, they glued their clothing but not any bare skin... so while the spectacle might not be appealing, a pair of scissors would deal with things quickly.

Chop off their hands. They won’t do THAT again.
Good idea. Seal off the area. Use other runways. Let them pee and poop in their clothes while dehydrating and starving on the runway. Allow them to die happy, doing what they love.
