Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), who is locked in a tight reelection bid, on Thursday became the second Senate Democrat to call for President Biden to withdraw from the presidential race.
“Montanans have put their trust in me to do what is right, and it is a responsibility I take seriously. I have worked with President Biden when it has made Montana stronger, and I’ve never been afraid to stand up to him when he is wrong,” Tester said in a statement.
“And while I appreciate his commitment to public service and our country, I believe President Biden should not seek re-election to another term.”
The Daily Montanan first reported the news.
Sen. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) was the first Senate Democrat to call on Biden to exit the race.

Nothing to do with the good of the Country, ethics, morality, health or anything above the table. With the DNC and it's professional members, it's all about who has the most really filthy dirt on the other and what they are willing to go public with to get what they want. The entire Biden family wants blanket immunity and lots of money. What does this Senator have to make them change their minds?
So he and the rest of the Democrat politicians (not to mention the third estate) hid the obvious impairment of the President for 4 years, continuing to insist he was fit-as-a-fiddle and as Scarborough recently proclaimed someone who was “on top of his game!” Now, as they are running for re-election, and realizing their charade of our having a cognitively coherent President has been blown so that even Wal-Mart voters can plainly witness the appear to be born-again. Sorry Tester, and all the rest, if you were too unaware that Joe was not with the program even dating to before the last election, you are too stupid to be voting on matters of great concern to the nation. Time for all of you to go. And, as far as Harris is concerned, the same applies. It is mandated in the constitution that one of her only jobs is to assess the fitness of the President and if he is unfit to call the cabinet together and invoke the 25th amendment. She has failed in that responsibility just as she has failed as the “border tsar” making her judgement inadequate to take on the responsibility of the highest office, no matter her ethnicity and genitalia.

Hopefully, Tester is in his final months as a US senator. Somehow, he’s managed to get elected multiple times in a red state, but he may finally run out of luck this year.
There is very little political upside for an elected Dem to call for Biden to step down. This explains why there are only a couple dozen. This is best left to party leaders behind the scenes. Obama put his neck way out there with his Clooney op-ed endorsement, so let him handle it. Once Biden feels better, Sunday-Wednesday, he’ll announce he’ll step aside.
