Biden Called ‘More Receptive’ To Hearing Pleas to Step Aside

President Joe Biden has become more receptive in the last several days to hearing arguments about why he should drop his reelection bid, Democrats briefed on his conversations said Wednesday, after his party’s two top leaders in Congress privately told him they were deeply concerned about his prospects.

Biden has not given any indication that he is changing his mind about staying in the race, the Democrats said, but has been willing to listen to rundowns of new and worrying polling data and has asked questions about how Vice President Kamala Harris could win.

The accounts suggest that Biden, privately at least, is striking a more open-minded posture than he did last week when he lashed out at a number of House Democrats who pressed him to step aside.

Even more concerning to Democrats is data they have received in recent days that reveals the extent of the political damage that could come to the party’s incumbents from remaining supportive of Biden, with one poll suggesting that voters are deeply distrustful of elected officials who vouch for the president’s mental capacity and endorse him.

One Biden adviser, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive internal discussions, said that the decision came down to hard facts and that there were three that mattered: polling, cash and which states are in play. And, as this adviser put it, none of those are trending in the right direction for Biden.

Recent data reveals......(drum roll please)........voters are deeply distrustful of elected
officials who vouch for Biden’s mental capacity, then go on to endorse the impaired Biden.

Please this is a baloon trying to create reality…

Remember the same people desperate to toss him aside now were the same ones who rigged the Democratic primary to make sure he won the nomination

The problem here is that self-serving Joe has tons of campaign money
socked away in numerous offshore accounts, thanks to Hunter Biden.

But downticket Dems are hurting b/c their campaign funds and sources
are dwindling from donors being duped about Biden’s acute mental state.

At a $2500-a-plate Hollywood fund-raiser, actor George Clooney praised Biden calling him “a star” yet Clooney openly revealed later (in a NYT op-ed) that the Joe Biden at the fund-raiser was not the Joe Biden of 2020. “He was the same Biden we all witnessed at the disastrous debate.”

Millions also saw Obama lead an obeisant Biden by the hand to get him offstage.

Which means the Clooney funder duped donors, and used fraudulent means, and
lies, to raise money pocketed by Biden, aided and abetted by the Democrats.

It’s fun to be a Democrat. Oh, you’re losing and you don’t want that? Just swap out the pieces however you want! It’s like if the Yankees were playing the A’s and the A’s brought in the Phillies to play in their stead. Can’t guarantee a win, but your chances are certainly improved.

Gee. I wonder why. When the entire leadership and donor class tells you to get out with more force than the Amityville Horror house, maybe it starts to sink in even to a senile, stubborn old brain like Biden's.

Biden was the useful meat-puppet in 2020 as Covid provided lots of cover for his decline.

But they cannot do that now (even though he just tested positive for Covid)

Democrats want power more than anything. A last minute switch with the right candidate will tighten up the polls so the fraud cannot be overcome.

Given that a recent report shows Harris doing better against Trump than Biden, I think they will go that route.

A last minute switch with the right candidate will tighten up the polls so the fraud cannot be overcome.

More importantly, it will re energize their voters. The 18-30 voters aren't going to vote for Biden like they typically do, a new candidate could change that. Right now too many people won't vote for an obviously demented nominee.

Every Democrat supported this guy until lawfare failed and then the assassination failed.

Now? For the good the country (read the dems retaining their power) Biden must drop his bid.

Bull sugar! Biden is not stepping aside. Lady McBiden and the pervert druggie want the power. This paper is not reporting news, but wishes.

That makes sense. I think pardoning Hunter is another motive for hanging on.

We hear this one day and the very next day we hear Biden emphatically say he won’t be dropping out.

Kamala polls worse than Biden. She is terrible. They can’t bypass her very easily without more problems.

I think that Biden will stay in and ride it out in the basement like 2020. His poll numbers may go up a little too if he stays out of sight.

What's the speaker line up for their convention? Clooney? Schumer? Pelosi? Schiff? Hi, vote for our candidate because we won't.

I would not be surprised if he stepped aside today to potentially throw a wrench into Trump’s acceptance speech. Won’t work. But I would not be surprised at the attempt to seize the headlines away.

“It seems like the biggest supporters of Biden are now MAGA Republicans”

In that vein, I think the liberal causes have been pushed to unreasonable extremes, and voters see that. Trump, MAGA, etc., is the way voters can turn our country away from those extremes.

This is also Vivek’s prediction, and I think it has merit. Everyone keeps saying the longer the dems wait the worse off they are. That may not be true. If they pull a last minute. It will create such a stir that between the unsettled dust in the air, manipulated last minute polls, and a media orgy to coronate and idolize the new nominee, they can cheat and use last minute surge/enthusiasm as the excuse for the ‘surprising’ win. Think ‘fog of war’.
