Republican Senate candidates in Arizona are showing lackluster fundraising numbers compared to Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ).
Kari Lake, a former Arizona news anchor turned political candidate, raised $4.3 million in the second quarter of the year. Her Republican opponent, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, reported a $422,000 haul. Gallego, the only Democrat in the race to replace Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), raised $10.4 [million] in the second quarter of 2024.
With Lake’s modest haul, she enters July with $2.8 million in cash on hand and $812,000 in debt. Gallego enters the month with $9.2 million in cash on hand and no debt.

In Lake’s defense, a large portion of Gallego’s cash probably comes from McCain Republicans.
She’s gonna lose. People see that she wasn’t serious about fighting for the Governor seat, which she was clearly robbed of. She’s turned into another MAGA grifter.
Ruben Gallego wins the McCain Republican vote.
Sad as it is Lake hasn’t a chance. McCain is haunting us from his grave in Mordor.
It would be great to have her in that seat instead of such a complete Leftist. How much will the US Republican Senatorial Committee help? How much will the PACs help down the backstretch?
>> she wasn’t serious about fighting for the Governor seat
despite the numerous legal battles thereafter... okay
She fought all the way to the bitter end and the case is still in the courts.
Her attorney was just disbarred for daring to raise the issue.
The trial judge is a preening Mormon clown from that famous hotbed of intellectualism known as BYU. He ignored mountains of evidence of the intentional dirty tricks by the Maricopa county elections office leading to the deprivation of civil rights of tens of thousands of Arizona voters, shrugging it all off as a mere nuisance.
If the McCain Machine is so powerful, how did she supposedly lose by less then 0.6% of the vote? Virtually everyone in AZ thought she was a lock.
The difference in fund raising has nothing to do with Arizona. The big money for Sr. “Make Arizona Mexico Again” is all coming from out of state.
If McConnell were to actually TRY to help, Gallego would go down in flames. But Lake is now a Trump asset so she gets nothing from that DC trash.
Kari has really hurt herself with the steady stream of messages saying “I’m losing!”
Very bad advice from Caroline Wren, counseling Kari to brand herself as a loser.
One likes Kari and had high hopes for her, but... she’s getting bad advice.
PACs and other campaign orgs can help, but they should only be supplemental support, not the core of the campaign being waged. If they are the whole game for any given candidate fighting the air war, that is not a good sign.
The problem is the small donors are tapping themselves out to give to Trump.
“she wasn’t serious about fighting for the Governor seat”
Oh, ok. (eye roll)
Money may influence some races, but certainly not all races.
Sorry, it’s obvious you have no clue as to the facts.
She should have done what she said it was going to do when the governorship was stolen from her. Get petitions for a recall. Now she thinks she’s going to win the Senate with one of the countries most corrupt elections. I don’t think so.
The fact is, she’s a quitter.
Lake isn’t suited for politics. Her specialty is communications, she would make a great spokesperson.
I have to look at that fat turd Gallego every night on tv and every time I get on YouTube. I have not seen a single ad for Kari.
That’s what happens when you tell them outright you don’t want their votes.
Truly ridiculous, everyone who votes Trump will vote for her and she’ll win easily just like Trump who is leading significantly in AZ.
AZ has become Californicated!
To the extent McCain Republicans vote for Gallego she will never recover from tell McCain voters to “get the hell out” of her campaign rallies for Governor, rule #1 as a political candidate is every vote matters and it’s insane to tell voters you don’t want their votes and then go on to lose the election by a few thousand votes
