They can pull him from the re-election campaign, but they have no legal way to pull him from the Presidency, even though it’s really more important that he resign. We really can’t have a 10 to 4 (don’t forget the naps) President.

Not really. If they convince him to choose to drop out, that doesn't mean anything. Just because he "wants to spend more time with his family", or isn't the best option, it's easy to argue that (ignoring everything else, of course). It's if they have to force him out that it'll have the question of why he can stay in the seat if he's incapable of running for it.
