Leaders of the Church of England have been scrambling to assure the faithful that their proposed £1 billion fund for slavery reparations will not come from donations to parishes.
Last year the Church of England announced it was establishing a £100 million fund for slavery reparations but later acknowledged there were plans afoot for the far larger target of £1 billion.

if you belong to this church, run as if your lives depend on it, because your Spiritual life does! This is insane. God does not come after us for crap OUR ANCESTORS did generations ago. We should not pay to people who were not involved and none of those involved are here now an have been dead a couple of centuries. its not BIBLICAL, its not normal. The Church of England has now gone to Liberation Theology. They figure that Liberation Theology has worked for the Catholics, so….. The truth is that Liberation Theology puts politics over religion and Protestant denominations are more free will than Catholics, so expect the Church of England to lose membership.
Reparations are a shakedown method for the too lazy to work population. I don’t see Jews whining for Persians to pay them for slavery. Besides, it was the black tribesmen that sold them into slavery in the first place. SMH...
They are going to need to sell off a bunch of empty churches for conversion to mosques to get to a Billon without reaching into collection plates.

Sadly, those white people who wanted nothing but to give blacks a chance, and to treat them fairly and equally, and to go out of their way not to be prejudiced, are now being forced to make a simple calculation - every black person you welcome into your community increases the amount of reparations you will have to pay. There is no way this will improve racial relations. Plus there are more black billionaires in America out of 50 million blacks, than there are in Africa where there are 800 million blacks. Why should whites pay reparations to Barack Obama, Lebron James, Tiger Woods, Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, Rihanna....

Serfdom and slavery are not very different. Most of the world were serfs/peasants until 1850. In China slavery lasted through the 1930s.
So money is fungible in every instance, except for when the church of England has it?

Jews do get reparations from Germany. One reason why there are more Holocaust survivors every year.
