ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The massive organized crime indictment of Donald Trump and 13 other GOP co-defendants in Georgia will be impacted by Monday’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling on whether the former president is immune from prosecution for his alleged role in the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot.
The decision, according to CBS News, will impact special counsel Jack Smith’s case against Trump in Washington, D.C., where the former president has pleaded not guilty to the four charges he is facing.
But a ruling could also have consequences for two other cases involving Trump. One, also brought by Smith, in South Florida involving Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents and a second brought by prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, related to Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the state.
The immunity case, according to the Associated Press, was the last case argued before the nation’s high court, on April 25, but the timing of the court’s resolution of Trump’s immunity may be as important as the eventual ruling.

Lawfare from demented Biden has come to a screeching halt, just like demented biden’s campaign.
they gave Trump everything he needed and also kicked the can down the road hoping he wins and in the process avoid this coming back to them when Trump pardons everyone.
If this is a RICO case, it should be dead. RICO cases were meant to go after the head of the snake in cases where the decision makers are buffered or separated from the ‘crimes’.
1) smith is not a valid special prosecutor
2) the evidence was tampered, re-arranged and had no chain of custody.
SCOTUS held out so they could punt resolution of the whole mess until after the election.
Will this not have implications to the guilty verdict in New York? This was bumped from a misdemeanor to a felony based on election interference predicated on his actions involving J6.
Is it just me, or does this ruling seem just vague enough to not stop Trump from being incarcerated?
Main thing from Fox commentators is that the SC has made it clear that a prosecutor can NOT prosecute a President based on what they presume to be the President’s “motives”
You can also add in the selective prosecution.
Bidet could not be prosecuted while sitting as president for taking documents he was not entitled to during a time he was not even VP. With the Attorney General withholding the tapes from the Congress, he is obstructing their duty to proceed to impeach him.
4) withholding exculpatory evidence, including evidence that DOE backdated the removal of Trump's clearance, which was not officially done until after he received the documents from the National Archives. They also hid the fact that the NA was sitting on the documents until they demanded Trump take them.
Can you say framed? Sure you can.
What’s the reason?
Yes. And, it would make it VERY difficult for him to get it to trial before the election.
yep, they cut off smith from every possible angle.
I LOVE it!
liberal tears!
Expect the Dems to come out in mass for packing the court.
I think the SC decision has made it “morning in America” for Trump, and MOURNING in America for Jack Smith.
Libs have been screaming to pack the court even when Biden was running in 2020.
I have mixed feelings about this decision. If the court gives a blanket approval of amnesty then what happens to the process of impeachment. If the ruling is that the President of the US is not immune, then that’s implies every federal, state and local government official is no longer immune. ( a Pandora’s box). They may decide that the President is immune from liability in matters that do not violate the Constitution of the US. Very troubling times
Amen!!
And Fox’s Mark Levin is hammering Jack Smith and the Dems for going after Trump.
