$30 billion Carrier Group is useless against pirates funded by Iran.

And Iran got billions of Dollars from Biden to buy the weapons to give to the terrorist. And the democrats want Iran to have nuclear bombs.

$30 billion Carrier Group is useless

It's only useless because of the cowardly and profoundly stupid American and European political leadership.

What renders a Carrier Group useless is the commander in chief.

Also, curious how quiet environmental groups are on the Red Sea pollution Muslims are causing.

It all has to do with the rules of engagement. We have to relearn how wars are fought. You KILL the enemy. I assure you, a carrier group can do that, if they’re allowed. Apparently, the current theory of victory is to use ships to run the Houthi out of ammo, rather than killing them and blowing up the ammo.

Another approach is to hit the producers and conveyors of the arms the Houthi use.

Yes. Our tax dollars “at work.”

Pirates should always be open season with no bag limit.

The targeted seas include several hundred thousand square miles. We can't be everywhere. Short of going to war with Yemen, these attacks will continue, and a few will succeed. What are you calling for? War with Yemen? Hundreds of thousands of American boots on the ground? Or leave the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, and wash our hands of the the whole "Freedom of Navigation" thing?

We are NOT limited to Rules of Engagement as dictated by Biden.
Article I, Sect. 8 The Congress shall have power:…

To define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas, and offences against the law of nations;

To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water;

Houthis are using the old, pre-Barbary wars, rules. Why can't we? Congress CAN change Joe's rules and so should be asked for its thoughts. I don't think we need to declare war. Maybe Congress decides to do nothing. Little shipping is currently US flagged, but some is flagged in countries we are treaty bound to defend. However, it might be interesting to see what some motivated billionaires could do with US issued letters of marque and reprisal under looser rules of engagement. We never signed the European treaties prohibiting such letters. I'm not sure we're limited to issuing them to US Citizens.

Only because the the US administration does not want to defeat the Houthi, only pretend to do something because that is expected. The Democratic Party is de facto an ally of the Houthi, but cannot say so out loud.

You don’t need a Carrier Battle Group. A few wings of B-52s, dropping full loads of J-SOWS, from 40,000 feet, would settle the Houthi’s hash nicely. . .

No carrier group was in the area.

One that was already extended was finally ordered to return home, and one in Japan was changing home ports and is en route, but there was a gap because of our “brilliant strategies” in the DEI Navy.
