Yep...the only good movie she was in was Cat Ballou with Lee Marvin. In it she played a gullible, not too bright ingenue.
Marvin was stupendous in it. IIRC, he got an Oscar for it.

Damn right. And he shared the Oscar with “a horse someplace out in the valley”. Lee Marvin stole that movie and made it his own. Fonda was just a glorified “extra.”
