BREAKING: NY Judge Merchan Informs Lawyers of ‘My Cousin is a Juror, Trump is Getting Convicted’ Facebook Post Left on NY Court Page, Pre-Verdict.
In a new development in Trump’s Manhattan “hush money” case, Justice Merchan has communicated to the involved parties about an incident involving a comment left on the court system’s Facebook page. The comment, left on May 29, one day prior to Trump’s conviction, reads: “My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted 🎉 Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!! ❤️”
The fact that the judge has written to the involved parties may indicate truth to the inside knowledge of the poster. The letter from Justice Merchan reads, in full:
Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System’s public Facebook page and which I now bring to your attention. In the comment, the user, “Michael Anderson,” states:
The comment was no longer visible when checked by The National Pulse.
Theoretically, if the comment is found to be true and a juror was discussing the verdict of the case with their cousin, Justice Merchan could rule a mistrial. Given his record of rulings against Trump and his daughter’s financial stake in the case, this is unlikely.
I missed the part that the jury had been handed the case. You are correct, my FRiend, and thanks for the correction!
Not sure what to think of this fb post but why didn’t Merchan include the whole quote?
“Thank you for all your hard against the MAGA crazies! My cousin is a juror on Trumps criminal case and they're going to convict him tomorrow according to her. Thank you New York courts!!! pic.twitter.com/zpdo9UWbCf— Rosie Memos (@almostjingo) June 7, 2024
Juan Merchan doesn’t know, or care, one bit about “the American way”. This makes sense, since he’s likely much more familiar and comfortable with the “Central American Way”.
Yeah, it’s been a week. If it was a shitpost, Merchan would have probably stated in the email that there is no connection. Probably a woman with last name Anderson on the jury.
Just as the Russian people in the 1920s & 1930s, and the German people in the 1930s, the American people meekly and silently slip deeper and deeper into abject terror & tyranny without a significant whimper of protest...
Headline: NY v. Trump: Judge reveals Facebook post implying juror discussed guilty verdict with family ahead of time
Their last name does not have to be Anderson and it would be easy to check the female jurors to see if this guy is her cousin.
or maybe they just realized this whole thing is a big fat turd
and they do not want to play with it anymore
yeah I mean he could have verified this in 5 seconds it literally says on his page he’s a professional sh*t poster my 9 yr old nephew could have verified that and he never goes on facebook, so maybe just maybe its legit
I certainly wouldn't put it past them. They are that evil.
Where did you get that information? He actually had a cousin on the jury?
there should not be even an “appearance” of a conflict of interest
political donations
family making money off the trial
What are they up to?
I think Merchan would rather declare a mistrial than getting bench-slapped by an appellate court. He knows he violated so many of Trump’s constitutional rights that Trump would win on appeal.
If he declares a mistrial, Bragg won’t retry the case.
Trump has some rather obvious grounds for a civil rights lawsuit against the city and state.
Wonder what else jurors did to discuss the case with others?
Merchan will order the post to be deleted. Problem solved!
Judge Merchan could use this to force Trump to spend another 5 or 6 weeks in a Manhattan court room, but he is probably content with the 34 felony convictions and trying to decide now whether to send Trump to prison on July 11 or allow him to stay free on bond while the appeals are heard.
“The comment was no longer visible when checked by The National Pulse.”
Would it show up on the “Way Back Machine?”
Just heard the defense is aware of it and are doing their own investigation.
I sure never thought any FB member could comment on pending court cases. This is like the fruitcakes who make false bomb threats. This has to be against the law. Isn’t there a warning to that effect on the FB account?
