Personally, I would delete Chrome. If you really want another browser besides Safari, and you like Chrome, install Chromium. It's a safer browser.
Other than that, I am NOT an Apple guy.

I’ll follow your two suggestions. Delete Chrome and install Chromium.
I recall hearing of the problems with IE but found it has some features I liked.
I had Mac products but also a HP laptop and Dell tower. I was heavily into graphics and photography & HTML. Found IE the easiest for HTML … but that was several years ago and things change
