With respect, I would like to invoke this clause from your "exceptions" list. In light of this recently reported Mayo Clinic study, I think we're there.
There is a whole generation of kids now being told that gender is a matter of choice and that it can be changed on a whim. They are getting the message that your teachers are friends who can protect you from parents -- which you didn't choose -- who can't understand what you're going through and won't approve of your transition.
This madness needs to be stopped and one key part of that would be a means to keep medical professionals from being involved. I'd add a strong parental rights clause, too. It IS in the national interest to do so.
Be careful.
The Court did not rule on the merits, and they haven’t heard the case (yet) that the Idaho law is unconstitutional.
They just said Idaho can enforce its law WHILE APPEALS ARE HEARD.
When the actual case gets to the Court, the law will either be upheld 5-4 or will be declared unconstitutional.
Raul Labrador, when he was in the U. S. House, ran for House majority leader, against a certain Rep. McCarthy. He lost, and realized that a strong voice has more power at the state level unless/until we get a more solid conservative majority in House and.or Senate.
I also point out that Labrador is part of the Mormon migration into Idaho. Without that migration, it might be in the same situation Montana currently finds itself in (small edge to Republicans leading to RINO/Dem power).
This is a win for human decency.
Don’t get me wrong- I think there are areas that the federal government can pass legislative policy & influence the national debate. For instance, in any area where congress has powers of oversight, certainly through governmental agencies on the federal level. If i’m not mistaken, Congress, through oversight, etc. probably has the power to subpoena national medical boards & step in in areas where they believe a breach of ethics & standards or a violation of law & constitutional rights has occurred. I may have misunderstood what yall were advocating. I absolutely agree with you that Congress should do the things that I listed above. It should influence a national debate & take a leadership role. What I thought yall were saying was that if a leftist state (California, New York, you name it) okays something we don’t like, we should overrule them on the federal level. That’s the thing I would object to because I hate when they do that to us. I want them to leave our states alone. I’d be inclined to leave their states alone in return. The true solution to this & most other current problems & political battles, would be for both sides of this country to divorce & go our separate ways ππ€π«€

And perform surgery on the “doctors” who would do such things
Wow!
Three members obviously can’t define “female”...or “male”.
