Was a time when neighbors knew each other and looked out for each other
Now nobody knows anybody and nobody cares...
In my California neighborhood, we’ve made a point of meeting each other - for safety reasons, if anything. Many in this neighborhood are foreign, but wish for the same things the rest of us want - safe streets, parks and schools.
Fortunately, most of us are either retired or work from home - and are able keep an eye on the neighborhood 24/7.
