I’m seeing this going up all over in my California neighborhood - high privacy fences around properties with cameras pointed out on each corner, locked gates even to enter the front yard, security systems, of course (which are being disabled by thieves).
I am lucky to live in a neighborhood full of either retirees or people who work from home.
This is also standard appearance - bars on doors/windows, gates around property - and, has been, in border towns, for decades.
Now, it will become popular, all across the land, especially in these blue states.
Had a friend who was from S Africa (hubby is in oil and gas) who said this is also how they lived. With additional iron gates INSIDE their house, in bedroom hallway. 😱😱
