Some of the reporting earlier suggested the intended victim took the gun off him and then fired. This story says differently, that the gun went off when the two men were wrestling over the weapon.

Except in very rare circumstances, as in mechanical failure, guns “don’t just go off”. Someone’s finger was on the trigger, And actuated it.
