Why are people climate change deniers? Study reveals unexpected results

Do climate change deniers bend the facts to avoid having to modify their environmentally harmful behavior? Researchers from the University of Bonn and the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) ran an online experiment involving 4,000 US adults, and found no evidence to support this idea. The authors of the study were themselves surprised by the results. Whether they are good or bad news for the fight against global heating remains to be seen. The study is published in the journal Nature Climate Change.

A surprisingly large number of people still downplay the impact of climate change or deny that it is primarily a product of human activity. But why? One hypothesis is that these misconceptions are rooted in a specific form of self-deception, namely that people simply find it easier to live with their own climate failings if they do not believe that things will actually get all that bad.

"We call this thought process 'motivated reasoning,'" says Professor Florian Zimmermann, an economist at the University of Bonn and Research Director at IZA.

Simple question for the climate cultists. Why are all the planets in the solar system seeing warming at the same time?

Why are people climate change deniers?

Because it's pseudo-science! At best. At worst it's just out-and-out falsehoods.

It seems “motivated reasoning” could go either way. Would a professor, particularly useless dips**t’s, have motivation to chase grants to study how to modify behaviors for those who think for themselves.

I sometimes listen to religious talk and they claim that climate change and our ability to affect it isn’t scriptural. I can’t site what they are specifically referring to as I’m generally driving and can’t write down the basis of their theory.

None of their models can take known data and predict the last 50 years right compared to the actual known data.

They dont factor in mr sun and mr moon and how they both affect the earth.

“Climate science” makes astrology look good by comparison.

Frauds, freaks, sociopaths, con artists, propagandists—scum of the planet.

Or how the solar system effects the earth or even how the earth effects the earth! It an extraordinarily non-linear complex system.

We know theres an agenda by world leaders to use “climate change science” to negatively impact normal people and take away freedoms and mobility and standards of living.

We also know the scientists involved altered their data to be able to “prove” false conclusions that supported the world leaders agendas. We have the emails. Its a proven conspiracy.

I also think of the Cedars of Lebanon documented back at least 4,000 years.
In the Epic of Gilgamesh, one of the earliest great works of literature, the Sumerian hero Gilgamesh and his friend Enkidu travel to the legendary Cedar Forest to kill its guardian and cut down its trees. While early versions of the story place the forest in Iran, later Babylonian accounts of the story place the Cedar Forest in the Lebanon.[17]

The Lebanon cedar is mentioned several times in the Bible. Hebrew priests were ordered by Moses to use the bark of the Lebanon cedar in the treatment of leprosy.[18] Solomon also procured cedar timber to build the Temple in Jerusalem.[19] The Hebrew prophet Isaiah used the Lebanon cedar (together with "oaks of Bashan", "all the high mountains" and "every high tower") as examples of loftiness as a metaphor for the pride of the world[20] and in Psalm 92:12 it says "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon".[21]

The Phoenicians, Israelites, Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Romans, Arabs, and Turks used Lebanese timber. The Egyptians valued their timber for shipbuilding, and in the Ottoman Empire their timber was used to construct railways.

Over the centuries, extensive deforestation has occurred, with only small remnants of the original forests surviving. Deforestation has been particularly severe in Lebanon and on Cyprus; on Cyprus, only small trees up to 25 m (82 ft) tall survive, though Pliny the Elder recorded cedars 40 m (130 ft) tall there.[33] Attempts have been made at various times throughout history to conserve the Lebanon cedars. The first was made by the Roman emperor Hadrian; he created an imperial forest and ordered it marked by inscribed boundary stones, two of which are in the museum of the American University of Beirut.[34]

All this and we are still here.

Human life was not destroying the Earth until the Global Cooling, Global Warming, and Global Climate Change Socialist fools came along who think they can intervene in natural evolution of life.

The moment you say “denier” you know it is a Marxist political statement and has nothing to do with science.

that their ‘study’ takes for granted the validity of AGW claims is the fallacy around which they must contort reason to unreason, in order to conclude where they set out to conclude from the conception of their ‘study’, lol.

they conclude thusly because their ‘study’ ignores any question regarding AGW validity, to focus only on ‘why’ those who flatly reject AGW claims, are able to internally justify their own ‘selfish’, ‘refusal to admit facts’ of AGW.

thus my apostrophisizing of ‘study’.

;-)

How do I make the temperature on earth what I want to be at any point in time and at any and every point on earth because that's what they're saying they can do.

Bureaucrats can control global temperatures through regulation, hadn't you heard?
