Ron DeSantis needs to stay a paper candidate until at least the Republican convention, in case something happens to Donald Trump. Otherwise, we are stuck with Nikki.

I live in SW FL. Ron was great during Ian. He has blown any good will. Not because he campaigned for President, but who he proved himself to be, A Uni Party stooge.

Worse, what does it mean for talk radio advertising sales that always counts in a protracted and contentious primary and the ad dollars it generates. More bad news for broadcast.

I would not spend five seconds of my time worrying about Nikki getting the nomination.

President Trump will probably choose a VP candidate early on in the process—and they would gain his delegates if he were unable to continue for any reason.

I am in Tampa Bay area and I would add that Ron did a great job as GOV from 2018 thru 2022. Then he allowed himself to be convinced by RINO donors and advisors that he was their man to dethrone King Trump.

Big mistake for Ron and it will likely ruin any chance for a 2028 Presidential run for him.

She is right, it’s always been Trump versus Biden.

You really think Biden will be on the ballot in November 2024? I don’t.

Doubtful. I would be watching someone like Liz Stefanic, or Governor Sarah Huckabee.

No, after watching the body language when Senator Tim Scott and President Trump were together for Scott's endorsement yesterday, my money would be on him. President Trump is already polling extremely well with “minorities” and this would help consolidate that support.

Personally, I would hate to see Republicans give up another Senate seat, but losing Rand Paul who would be my first choice for VP would be worse.

Off topic. I really enjoyed your Manatee exhibit at the Tampa Zoo. My favorite native FL animal.

He will, if Jill has anything to say about it. I don’t think he (Jill) will go quietly.

With our current cold weather there should be a lot of manatees hanging out at the FPL power plant at Apollo Beach.

Byron Donalds should run for governor of Florida in the next election. DeSantis can then go on to be a commentator on CNN.

What the DeSantis dropping out means is that the Haley campaign which has already been outspending everyone else will be getting all the deep state money.

Never mind that both her parents were foreign nationals and she was born an anchor baby with dual citizenship, exactly what founders wanted to avoid by including the “natural born citizenship” requirement for President. It is interesting how the definition of Natural Born Citizen has evolved since Obama was elected.

*******
Interesting in that I think he’ll be on the ballot in an effort
to help bring the first female into the Presidency. Win and
at a time step down and let the VP become the President.
History being made. JMO

I don’t think the controllers will seek the opinion of either Jello Joe or Jill.

That said—they are puppets and their bosses will make the call based on whatever criteria they deem appropriate.

At this point my crystal ball is very cloudy—it would not surprise if Biden was on the ballot—or if he was not.

A lot depends on how DeSantis disengages...he’d be well advised to give Trump an enthusiastic endorsement ala Vivek Ramaswamy.

Don’t be a Ted Cruz Ron!
