What we gotta watch out for is tomorrow morning when they're forecasting winds gusting to 47 MPH. We've had power bumps with these kinds of winds before.
How's things over on your end?
Yeah, the nights have felt like winter for a while but some days haven’t been too bad. Tomorrow and Tuesday will be in the 50s. Then we cool off again.
I’m not too worried about trees toppling but big limbs breaking off ARE a worry. A lot of the trees on the farm are old, and they’re big. I was awfully lucky last year not to have anything big come down but with each strong wind event, the odds change.
I sure hope it doesn’t happen in that wind. What a mess it would be to clean up. I can’t tell if the wind is still blowing here. I’m not willing to go out or even open the door to find out unless Peaches decides to go out. The other kitties have barely touched their food. They want no part of the wind.
It’s supposed to be in the mid-60s here on Wednesday and Thursday. Kind of strange.
Yeah, the winds are going to be the big issue. We’re going to have them, too, over here. I hope you miss out on the snow that will hit that section of the country. I think the worst of it is supposed to stay north of you.
Power outages sound like a concern we both have. With luck, we’ll both get through this mess without losing power.
You and Gizmo be careful when you go out.
I hope it doesn’t happen too. I really don’t need the expense of cleaning up the mess.
I hope the winds move out of your area quickly so your kitties can get out of their hidey holes to eat.
I didn’t get a good look at the week’s forecast on the news tonight because I was doing something so took a look on a couple of the Nashville sites. We cool off to mid 40s Wed. but warm back up to low 50s Thurs. The weekend is gonna suck - - highs only in the 30s BRRRRRRRRRRRR
Yep, it’s winter.
Yep. All month long.
I went out to sweep the leaves away from the back door again and Grey was the only one brave enough to come out for a bit. I had to clean the leaves out of the water dish and re-fill it so she could get a drink. Peaches went out for a bit. It’s actually not very chilly out...if the wind would give it a rest.
Guess I’ll head out. My early morning wake-up is now catching up with me. See ya tomorrow!
At least one of the kitties has a full tummy. Maybe the others have slipped out when you weren’t looking.
At least it isn’t all the chilly there now and that might help get them out.
Get a good long sleep tonight and enjoy not having to deal with the alarm. :-)
Catch ya tomorrow.
Good morning, Canteen.
Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Hat tip to
Private First Class Ross A. McGinnis
United States Army
Thank you, Ma for preparing
the Canteen for today's activities.
Just passing through to say hi and
Good news: the rain has stopped for now and
we didn't need a row boat.
Off to get ready for our walk.
But please stay right where you are.
Chat up the military or a family member.
No need to fret...you know I'll be back!
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
