Georgia Prosecutors Warn of Prison Sentences for Trump, Top Allies
Breitbart ^ | 8 Dec 2023 | BRADLEY JAYE

Posted on 12/08/2023 6:49:19 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis and her team of prosecutors want prison sentences for Donald Trump and his top allies, previously unreported emails reveal.

The emails, first reported by the Guardian, reveal deepening hostilities between prosecutors and defendants in the monumental Georgia criminal case against Trump and his top allies.

“We have a long road ahead,” Willis wrote in a previously unreported email last month to Trump’s attorneys. “Long after these folks are in jail, we will still be practicing law.”

Willis and her team allege Trump and codefendants violated the racketeering statute as part of efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. A handful of defendants, including Jenna Ellis, Sidney Powell, and Kenneth Chesebro, have flipped on Trump, presumably to avoid long prison sentences of their own.

Trump’s allies argue the case is politically motivated “lawfare,” and Trump maintains he has done nothing wrong.

Willis has insisted her case is simply about enforcing the law, although her actions and words haven’t always backed up her assertion.

Willis says she is in no hurry to resolve Trump’s legal issues before November’s general election and recently made clear that she intends to still have Trump on trial on Election Day 2024.

“I believe in that case there will be a trial, I believe the trial will take many months,” she told the Washington Post’s Global Women’s Summit. “And I don’t expect that we will conclude until the winter or the very early part of 2025.”

Just so the Resolute Desk can fit through the door. Hey, Fani, could you see if you could wedge your fat ass through this door? We plan to move a desk through it, and if your caboose fits, everything will be fine.

This is trash talk from a punk.

Does anyone really think that a county DA can put a President on trial for actions during his administration, and that somehow the whole federal leviathan will stand back and let that happen because Get Trump?

There's no precedent for one county in Georgia to simply seize control of the entire Executive branch on specious conspiracy charges and they damn well know it.

It's an absurd hail mary move and they end up in front of endless Congressional committees as well as being slapped down at the SCOTUS.

I hope I’m sitting by the river when these corrupt bodies float by.

It would do any patriot’s heart good to see that.

Fulton County is obviously a stinking festering pit of human trash.

There should be a law against lawfare.

Wait a sec...

Fani: I gon’ stuff y’all in the hoosegow.

Origin: from Mexican Spanish jusgado prison, from Spanish: court of justice, from juzgar “to judge”, from Latin judicāre, from judex “a judge”.

Or in the pokey.
pokey (n.)
“jail,” by 1919, American English slang, also poky, pogey, of uncertain origin; Barnhart says perhaps altered from pogie “poorhouse” (1891), which itself is of unknown origin.
Current definition: a correctional institution used to detain persons who are in the lawful custody of the government (either accused persons awaiting trial or convicted persons serving a sentence).

Immunity for agents, prosecutors and judges must end. The 14th amendment must be enforced. Violations of process by prosecutors cannot go unpunished.

The legal system is the most weaponized part of the government ; it’s the deep state’s most lethal weapon.

If only 8% of the public wakes up and believes this, we can stop these evil prosecutors in the jury box.

Just goes to show that you don’t have to be a president to be a tyrant. You can be a state D.A. or a judge.

Well don’t be surprised if Trump does end up in jail. Don’t forget, the Republican party does absolutely nothing to stop this and it’s the criminal Merrick Garland that runs things today, the same guy who called parents at a PTA meeting “terrorists”. The question to ask is if Trump does end up in jail, are Trump supporters going to do anything about it? Are take to the streets and protest or do nothing out of fear of being arrested and thrown in jail for years like the Jan.6th protestors? Our government is under enemy occupation, people have to realize that, and if we do nothing it will only get worse.

A prosecutor should be as concerned with innocence as your own lawyer. As a district attorney they should abhor lawfare and be dedicated to truth.
