Yes, interesting. But, how is it different from a similar death over here in the states? With no heirs the state scoops it up.
Which makes sense. Otherwise a piece of land would just sit there for an eternity doing no one any good. Land is valuable. Especially taxes generated on it.
Same thing is done in the US.
But, with that said, who is being cheated? The principal/owner is dead. There are no heirs. Property reverts to the original grantor . . . which means in most cases the state.
There's a reason they're known as the "Grauniad."
Fake news.
“Many single people with NO kids can leave their assets to WHOMEVER they please.”
Right. Those people would be their heirs.

Kneel subject, kneel before your King. God has placed him above you.
Yes, there was.
Cromwell's kid could not run a lemonade stand.
People act like Cromwell established a republic. What he did was take over the role of king.
If his kid had not been a total failure it might have worked.
But it would have still been a monarchy.
Of course I am of the opinion that the Stanleys would have been a smarter choice then the Stuarts. Bringing in a non-English monarch was not a wise move. Unlike the Stuarts the Hanovers did adopt the British culture even if it took a few generations. Which is why they kept the throne while the Stuarts got thrown out twice.
You could learn a lot from the life of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
Come to think of it, based on most of your comments on FR, you couldn’t learn a thing from anyone, to save your life.
Don’t be too hard on the poor chap, appears he had a British mother-in-law problem.
Chuck has just been fingered by a Dutch media outlet as one of the alleged royal racists...

Meghan Markle warned ditching Omid Scobie would be disaster for one reason
There's a report that scooby when in California working on his book used to frequent a certain hotel where harry stays from time to time to pick up small packages left there for him at the front desk. Perhaps H&M learnt a lesson from finding freedom by not leaving a paper trail this time.

That the DE is leaving up at least some of the Neil Sean related comments in their comment sections...
Anyone else wondering if Camilla might have been a source for any if this latest...
She does, as Brits would say, have form for going after a Princess of Wales.
