In his latest gaffe-laden speech, Donald Trump appeared to suggest former President Barack Obama was running in 2024 as he warned that “cognitively impaired” President Joe Biden could lead the country into “World War Two” if he wins re-election.
During his remarks at the Washington DC Pray Vote Stand Summit on Friday, the former president said: “We have a man who is totally corrupt and the worst president in the history of our country, who is cognitively impaired, in no condition to lead, and is now in charge of dealing with Russia and possible nuclear war.”
“Just think of it. We would be in World War Two very quickly if we’re going to be relying on this man, and far more devastating than any war,” he continued as dramatic music swelled in the background.
“There will never be a war if that happens— there will never be a war like this. It will obliterate everything there is, everybody, it will obliterate every country.” *** Former NBCUniversal executive Mike Sington posted: “Trump has lost it, he’s demonstrating how cognitively impaired he is. Watch him ramble, stumble on his words, blank out, then turn to reading the teleprompter to save himself, reading it intently. And he still misspeaks.”

Former Trump White House staffer, now co-host of The View, Alyssa Farah Griffin, wrote: “I’ve been outspoken over my concerns about Biden’s age. But being consistent: This is a word-salad mess. Trump seems confused about who he ran against in ‘16. He’s just 3 years younger than Biden.”
“America deserves better,” she concluded.
At another event on Friday, the former president also repeated the bizarre claim that Americans need to show ID to buy a loaf of bread.

Exactly. Comparing Trump’s occasional gaffes to Biden’s cognitive impairment is like comparing apples to rotten oranges. For one thing, as you pointed out, the length of Trump’s speeches compared to the length of typical Biden press event is probably in the range of 40:1. One or two flubs when you’re speaking extemporaneously for an hour and a half is nothing compared to Biden’s gaffe laden 2 minute press events.
We all misspeak from time to time, but we don’t all have dementia. The left’s attempt to equate Trump’s mental condition with Biden’s is such a blatant attempt at gaslighting that it will only serve to discredit them, not Trump.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, is this you. If not, you’re just as big of an idiot, maybe more.?
That is a good one. :-)
i’ve listened to dozens of Trump speeches and not a single one was a “word salad”
this is simply a classic example of accusing your opponent of what you yourself are doing, e.g., kamala harris ...
“...Haven’t watched it yet...”

I listened to his speach. The last 4 minutes made me cry, gave me hope.
DeSantis must have dropped even further in the polls.
He’s pure evil! We better all vote for DeSantis if we want to deliver our country from a guy who mixed the name of a war!/s
The article does not provide a link to the supposed gaffe. But Biden’s gaffes would take hours to watch. Here for your enjoyment are one hundred and seven videos of marble mouth Biden.

I’m just tired of the Trump/DeSantis pouncers who blow the silliest and sometimes totally untrue claims about the two men. Biden should be our target.
Trump had a slip of the tongue, not a gaffe (clumsy social interaction) and not a typo (writing error). And DeSantis doesn’t eat pudding with his fingers. Both of their campaign teams need to grow up.
You crack me up.
Except these paid trolls don’t want DeSantis either - they are posing as DeSantis fanboys in an attempt to peel off Trump support.
As soon as DeSantis officially drops into third or fourth place, they will quickly align with the next best Keebler Elf.
