Like you said, DeSantis clearly won. I guess you've seen Vivek winning the debate in the polls too? About as fake a number as the 175 million "views". We know who the Trump supporters voted for as winning the debate and still Ron's numbers are strong.

IMHO Vivek showed promise perhaps not winning the nomination (I too saw the problems in his delivery others have pointed out) but in keeping the debate focused on conservative issues. Others also every now and then did the same, but not as often and not with the passion Vivek did.

Just like Bernie didn't win the nomination but did his part for the left to make socialism a cool thing to say and force the other candidates (including the ones who won the primaries and Dims running for other offices besides prez) to taut their socialist bona fides. Vivek seems to be doing that for us on the right to show us that we should expect our candidates to be passionate conservatives instead of mealy mouthed ones. If Vivek lasts long enough in the primary to affect the narrative like he did in last night's debate, we may be looking at having primary winner (be it Trump, DeSantis or someone else) who not just becomes president but is unashamedly conservative to the point of being a movement leader.
