Democrats’ deceptive talking point that universal mail-in voting is completely “safe” and “secure” is collapsing as postal theft becomes rampant throughout the country.
Within the last week alone, CBS News Chicago released several articles detailing a series of incidents involving mail theft and crime throughout the Windy City. On July 31, for instance, the outlet reported blue drop-off mailboxes in Frankfort and Orland Park “were cut open by thieves,” with local law enforcement advising residents to “monitor their financial accounts or credit profiles for fraudulent activity.”
On the same day, CBS News Chicago revealed it obtained data from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) purportedly showing that the agency “hadn’t been keeping track of arrow key thefts until 2021” and “hadn’t made a single arrest for an arrow-key-related theft between 2020 and March 2023.” For context, arrow keys are used to open blue drop-off boxes and larger mailboxes found in apartment complexes or condos. An official with the U.S. Postal Inspectors, USPS’s law enforcement arm, claimed he felt such information “might not be 100 percent correct.”

Agree that it can not be 100% secure. But there are things that can be done to increase the detection of fraud.
1) Clean up the voter rolls. After the inauguration, seal the old voter roll and start a new one from scratch. All voters are required to register and provide proof of residence and citizenship.
2) Us distributed ledger technology (blockchain) to prevent tampering with the official roll or adding voter without completing the process
3) No mail-in ballots shipped without a signed request from the voter that is matched against the signature provided during the registration process.
4) All mail-in ballots go to the mail address identified during the registration process. Change of address requests must be submitted no less than 90 days prior to the election and must be validated either in person or via a phone call with the voter.
5) all mail-in ballots MUST be sent and returned with a sterilized security sleave. Serial numbers and signatures to be verified prior to adding to the ballot pool. Any ballot received without a serialized security sleeve will be disqualified.
6) All registrations and changes to the voter roll to be stopped 30 days prior to the election.
7) All mail in ballot drop boxes are to be video recorded
8) All mail in ballots received must be photographed, front and back, along with the security sleeve.
9) only US printers are allowed to print US ballots and must provide an accounting of all ballots printed. Any person producing ballots without a valid contract prosecuted for counterfeiting.
10) No importation of ballots and only authorized personnel shall be in possession of a ballot, completed or not.
I subscribe to a mail preview that shows me online what mail to expect.
On two occasions, I have had mail stolen before it even made it to my mailbox.
The mail just happened to be holiday gift cards. The matter apparently went down the rabbit hole along with other “investigations”.
I am not very trusting of the postal service for routine mail or anything else.
Last year I mailed a valuable baseball collectible to my Granddaughter. I insured it for the collectors value of the item. With the insurance label on the box, of course it got stolen after it was accepted by the post office and half way through the tracking process. Because it was a game used item with no sales receipt, I was turned down on the insurance and was told tough luck. At this point I would never insure a package of any value through the Post Office. It just advertises the fact that this item is worth stealing and will never get to the final destination.
Indeed JFK didn’t have Mail-In voting and still won.

The USPS and the TSA are some of the biggest theives on the US payroll.
