Good morning, and not too bad. I’m not sure why I got up at 4:15, but whatever Jake was happy to see me.
I’ll go to Weight Watchers this morning. Then maybe I’ll have a nap. The Youth can start on next week’s Envirothon homework. And I have music stuff to do, always more music stuff.
There are actually canonical differences between a friar and a monk.
Darn government and banks. I think it’s a plot to drive us mad.
Dang them since they went to computers to let folks make changes on their own. If it’s done online, I have no idea how long it takes. If I call them, it will happen the next month. But no sense calling today. The lines will be jammed and the wait-time will be horrendous.
If all my bills were local, I’d just draw out all the cash I need and go from there. Sometimes, I think buying money orders was easier.

A very short Par 3 was on tap for this morning... all that I needed to do was avoid the series of awful traps and scrub surrounding the approach to the green... which I was able to do!
My short drive from the tee left me about 20 yards in front, chipped up easily and tapped in for the Par...

The throes of High School and pubescent angst beset my abode with variant gales of drama, but my cool hand, and the patience of Job are breaking through, and smoothing the emotional landscape, though I do believe I’m aging at double the usual rate; there are days I feel like Yoda: over 800 years old.
Mid 60’s this morning, clear, blue, and sunny. The usual 11am meeting was pushed out to 4pm [WHY?] which bedevils my early evening schedule. Ungh. Buuut, it’s why they pay me the big bucks (cough).
Meanwhile, back on 13 with low 60’s on the thermometer, under lowering skies, with the threat of rain in the afternoon...

That near fairway is thoroughly unforgiving for any who fall short of the crossing cart path there where it finally opens into a more expansive strip. Beyond that, keeping left toward the throat of the back fairway offers a lie as near the right dog-leg as possible, with a resulting straight-on advantage to the pin.
So, that was my plan off the tee, and the morning’s WSW winds, gusting to over 20mph, added some additional oomph to help carry it off, landing my shot well down range with a lie just abreast of a small bunker on the right side, at the very crook of the dog-leg.
From there, a sweet 7-iron carried very nearly to the pin, and I thought for a moment it had Eagle potential, but went a shade to the left, setting up a tip-in putt to notch a Birdie.
PHEW!
I pick up a stroke to advance the the 14th tee with a 2 under par 49.

That's not so bad. As my children were becoming teenagers I felt like Jar-Jar, totally useless and not all that funny.
