Oh, they know the culprit, all right. But nothing will be done until it is of political advantage to frame up some poor schlub and hustle that person off into obscurity.
This is much like the “investigation” as to whom it was that prematurely released the verdict on the reversal of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court last year, and caused all kinds of riot and abuse on the streets. It was obvious to every member of the Supreme Court where and how the leak occurred, and the persons involved, but to “preserve the august presence of the Supreme Court”, the names shall never be released.
