You’re right. Prighozin had no qualms doing the fighting while he was getting handsomely paid and had a ready supply of convicts to prop the numbers up.
He’s not on “our” side; he’s a businessman who’s getting nothing out of it despite being in charge of the most competent force Russia has in Ukraine. He sees Shiogu and others getting shiny uniforms, big checks and medals while he’s the only one actually doing any of the donkey work.
