I would be very surprised and disappointed if the Navy didn’t know it imploded. The sea floor is supposedly littered with devices to detect submarines trying to be as silent as possible. Titan imploding probably made a pretty big noise. And I understand the Navy not wanting to disclose their capabilities.

Part of me wonders if it really did implode, or if that’s the official story because the thought of them dying a slow and terrible death, devoid of hope, is so disturbing to the families of the lost and others. I would personally like to think it happened quickly. Either way, what a tragedy, and it did not have to happen.
