Old African tradition: feast, celebrate, brag, insult, kill, blame, whine. It’s vitally important at each stage to demonstrate virtually every stereotype held against your people around the world before you complain about it to race hustlers and grievance groups. It is a silly custom.
I don’t think that the Quincy, WA shooting had anything to do with Juneteenth, either. It was concert goers to Gorge, where anything is likely to happen.
People have to remember that the race issues in WA were not home grown. Seattle doesn’t have a large enough Black population to cause the anti-police anarchy zone of the Summer of Love. The census before that had put the the Seattle Black population at 7.5%. Blacks do not make up a significant % of the minorities. Gays are the main minority. Juneteenth is nothing but another day off from work.

They had to go through the Constitutional process of a Constitutional admendent to remove it from the body politic, which takes time. Nobody clinged to it! After the destruction of the Civil War and 500k dead it was completely discredited and had no adherents worth mentioning.
Yes, but they never will mention that this is just about a regular weekend in Chicago. If the Drive-By Media were to ever announce, every Monday and Tuesday, the totals of people shot, the totals of people killed, each weekend, in Chicago, Baltimore, etc....well, they never will. If no whites are involved, it’s not news. The old adage ‘If it bleeds, it leads’ does not apply.
What’s a normal weekend in American like with regards to “shootings”?
Why wasn't the constitutional amendment (abolishing slavery) process begun in 1860, before the war started? Or in 1848 when Congressman Lincoln could have introduced the amendment himself?
Did the North cling to slavery for decades because it was in their economic and political best self-interest to cling to slavery?
And what was the Corwin Amendment?
Isn’t Juneteenth also “John Cornyn Day” in TX?
