He was born in Tulsa...but grew up and graduated from Yukon High School. Today, Yukon is almost part of OKC, but back then, (he graduated in 1980) Yukon was totally separate from OKC. I graduated from Yukon in 1978. Garth’s brother Kelly was in my class, and a friend. I knew Garth, but wasn’t close to him.
