The Lee County Sheriff’s Office released footage showing the attack at about 4 a.m., on Sunday.
In the video, the driver is trying to get away from the crowd when a man suddenly runs up to his window and opens fire.
Both victims were wounded during the shooting, but they managed to drive away

Next time a mandatory curfew will cause all seniors to be in bed, with covers tucked up to their chins at 8:30pm local time.

The picture with the article shows what appears to be a black female cop standing behind the shooter in the red hoodie.
My personal carry weapon holds 20 rounds and I have 3 mags. My “Truck gun” holds 30 and I have 2 mags.
That’s 52 rounds without reloading and 122 total. I will react accordingly if Feral Animals approach me.
Imagine the world news if it the color of the people were reversed...

Hell, I’ve long since set my feet through the door to geezerdom. Nothing like traveling when the roads are empty and traffic is minimal.
Of course my wife and I are always WELL ARMED and still train regularly to keep our edges.
They were towing a boat, people go fishing at 4 a.m.
It’s very common.

Why the heck is there a large crowd at 4AM?
If the like to fish, that is normal.
If the want to be in Key West at sunrise, an early start is a good thing.
Or they have dementia and were up all night sundowning.
Are you implying that the seniors "got what was coming to them" because they were out after hours?
I bet you think women deserve to be raped because they go out at night in a pretty dress.
As a senior myself, I will sometimes pull an all nighter to get to my destination when traveling long distance. I don't expect to get ambushed because I did not tuck myself in at 9PM with a Lawrence Welk show playing in the background. I never even watched Lawrence Welk, even when I was younger.

Most of us are already up, getting ready for our next Doctor appointment.
We are 71 years old and, when we go on road trips, we normally leave the house at 4 AM. The roads are quiet and somewhat empty. We get to our destination with plenty of daylight.
But, at 71, maybe we are still middle age and not yet seniors?
