The International Criminal Court said Friday it has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes because of his alleged involvement in abductions of children from Ukraine.

The court said in a statement that Putin "is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation."

Well I'm guessing that you can call a war a special military operation if you like, taking peoples kids is still going to get you in trouble.

The George W. Bush administration signed the American Service-Members’ Protection Act, (informally referred to as The Hague Invasion Act), to signify the United States’ opposition to any possible future jurisdiction of the court or its tribunals.[30][31] During the administration of Barack Obama, US opposition to the ICC evolved to “positive engagement”, although no effort was made to ratify the Rome Statute.[32] The subsequent Donald Trump administration was considerably more hostile to the Court, similar to the Bush administration threatening prosecutions and financial sanctions on ICC judges and staff in US courts as well as imposing visa bans in response to any investigation against American nationals in connection to alleged crimes and atrocities perpetrated by the U.S. in Afghanistan. The threat included sanctions against any of over 120 countries which have ratified the Court for cooperating in the process.[33] Following the imposition of sanctions on 11 June 2020 by the Trump administration, the court branded the sanctions an “attack against the interests of victims of atrocity crimes” and an “unacceptable attempt to interfere with the rule of law”. The UN also regretted the effect sanctions may have on trials and investigations underway, saying its independence must be protected.[34][35]

The ICC is farce- the US, Russia, China, India don’t acknowledge their existence ( participate).

More stupid virtue signaling

Bring Obama and Clinton into the ICC for destroying Libya and Syria and creating the greatest migrant flow in Europe since WWII, and I’ll then take them seriously.

This is why they have zero credibility. They are incapable of being nonpartisan. I have not heard a peep about Ukrain using human shilds from this court.

That is just silly. The so-called “International Criminal Court” should be abandoned by all democracies; it’s a phony organization and should be given no support.

Well, Pres. Putin won’t be able to take any more of those vacations to France that he likes so much.

Grizzlies arent in Russia. To be honest, Putin seems more like what you get when you mix Libertarians with black bears, ala Grafton New Hampshire.

Here’s the thing, you can’t negotiate with a blackmailer. All you can do is to fight back or surrender. If you try the installment plan you have zero hope.
