Cuts to SNAP benefits will push millions over the hunger cliff

Millions of people in the U.S. are now facing the precipice of a hunger cliff.

Starting in 2020, the pandemic pulled back the curtain on the tattered state of the U.S. safety net and the millions of families who were falling through. Hunger rates were expected to soar like they did during the Great Recession.

But that’s not what happened.

Thanks to a pandemic expansion of the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, millions of Americans kept food on their tables during an unprecedented public health and economic emergency. These “emergency allotments” made food easier to access and increased the number of people who were eligible. Hunger rates stayed put during the emergency — and poverty actually fell.

Awww - the swine over at the Shill are worried about Americans starving. That’s a joke considering the fact that morbid obesity runs rampant in the US and is especially a problem among the welfare set, most particularly among females of the Superior Race™.

Kids may actually have malnutrition after mama and/or absent father spends the entitlement money trading for non allowed items and the food budget gets lowered.

Since the days of “Welfare Cadillac” the recipients’ priorities put selfish desires for luxury cars, status clothes and bling, sports and concert tickets, booze, drugs and money for sex ahead of children’s food.

Why do I get the feeling when I see headlines like this that the same taxpayer money will now be going to Ukraine?

I could survive on the squirrels in my suburban neighborhood for protein. Maybe they can get some gov’t surplus pellet guns.

Lots more Americans suffering from obesity than from malnutrition. Government definition of “hunger” has nothing to do with nutritional status. Former NEED to be hungry more often. Proper needs test for SNAP involves their weight AND the weight of their wallet. Only get it if both are low. Make them all go stand on freight scales at the welfare office periodically to get their cards. If too fat either cut their benefits or only let them be used for food on Moochelle’s school lunch menus.

Maybe it’ll knock the average BMI of the SNAP recipients from 40 down to 35.

Many families spend more on CELL phones & apps than what they would qualify for in a house payment.

THAT IS AN ADDICTION !!!

Less than 1/3 of Americans work and pay tax. You can exclude anyone with a federal job because they are a big loss on the balance sheets.

How do SNAP benefits help anyone buy drugs and booze (As long as they retain the card)?
