I agree. Firing squad is better than jail.


I’m reading a book “The Science of Murder” about the use of forensics in Agatha Christie’s novels. In it the author describes one of the first uses of finger prints in a murder trial. The jury believed the fingerprint evidence and the murders were hanged 19 days after the trial ended. Not 19 years, or even 19 months, but 19 days.

Speedy execution did not stop murders, but it certainly stopped the murderers from murdering again.
