A high school swimmer from New Jersey was disqualified from a race for wearing an American flag on his cap in honor of his grandfather who was killed in the September 11 terror attacks.
The boy's father, Rob Miller said his son, whose name was not released, was told the flag on his swimming cap was too large and in violation of competition rules. He said the opposing coach waited until after the 400-meter free relay race was over to have the insignia measured.

When the gay revolution was getting underway a woman I know said “Our church already uses rainbows on a lot of our stationery and banners. The gays have stolen the rainbow shown to Noah and ruined it.”
She was right.
There is more to this story. A U.S. flag is permitted, but the rules clearly state size restrictions for a competition. This flag was too big.
My beef is that they waited to complain until after the race. Make your complaint beforehand or suck it up.

It would see the Flag size on a cap would stretch to different sizes depending on the kids head sizes anyhow.
