Republican politicians sharply criticized President Biden shortly after an apparent Chinese spy balloon appeared in the sky above Montana.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., tweeted Thursday afternoon that Biden "should shoot down" the balloon, which she said would never have been allowed to enter U.S. airspace when former President Donald Trump was president.
"Biden should shoot down the Chinese spy balloon immediately. President Trump would never have tolerated this," Greene wrote in a tweet Thursday. "President Trump would never have tolerated many things happening to America."
Citing the incident, the Biden administration postponed Secretary of State Antony Blinken's planned trip to China, which was to begin on Friday. That reaction, however, was not good enough for many Republicans.
"Maybe if the Biden Administration wasn't so worried about banning your gas stoves, they would have seen this Chinese spy balloon coming," Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, tweeted Friday.
Since the Republicans took control of the House of Representatives, Jordan has become the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, whose GOP Twitter account also sought to pin the blame for the Chinese balloon on Biden.
"Joe Biden's headed home for vacation in Wilmington tonight while a CHINESE spy balloon flies over our country," the House Judiciary account said in a tweet.

It seems as if the tone of this article, is to note the Republicans are criticizing Biden, rather than noting the lack of action by the Biden administration, to deal with this invasion of American airspace.
Rather than talking about the administration apparently just wanting to observe the actions of the aircraft, and not taking action to disable the aircraft, the article is emphasizing how Republicans are being critical of Biden.
A close up view of the Chinese Spy Balloon.
And again we see when Democrats legitimately get called out for their abject failures, the mockingbird media jump in to help Democrats by immediately suggesting that "Republicans are pouncing". This suggests the criticism is strictly politically motivated and therefore illegitimate. Happens all. the. time.
We have an act of war by a foreign country and the Biden administration apparently is waiting for the next China money drop before he will take any action, not to mention the complete and alarming failure of preventing this from entering US airspace.
We should shoot it down. But it is causing less risk than 4,000,000 ILLEGALS coming into this country in the last two years, terrorists along them. But, Confress doesn’t give a damn.
Can somebody please kamakazi a drone into it?
How high do your drones go?
There go those “pouncing” Republicans again.
When liberals take issue, it’s righteous.
When Republicans do it, it’s pouncing. Just ignore any story with that in the title.
Republicans “pounce”. Democrats NEVER “pounce.”
This afternoon I found bags full of poorly made counterfeit mail-in-ballots scattered over the soybean field...
Oh lawd they pouncin’!
Biden can’t shot it down, he has to show the Chinese leaders fealty to them and not the US
They own him so he won’t do anything.

Is that you, Swallwell, or is that you, Hunter?
Don’t you know the Chinese government is just laughing at us right now.
😂
Wait a day or two til the second balloon arrives which is now over Canada. 😏
“REPUBLICANS POUNCE!!!!!”
Please.
Some news reports are that this is a weather balloon which went off course. It innocently went off course carried by the winds to America.
This seems hard to believe. I sure wish we would disable/capture it, so we could verify what equipment is aboard this aircraft.
Apparently the Biden administration posture, is to observe the aircraft, without making any efforts to disable or capture it.
Pounce alert!!!
