Video footage of incident between Tyre Nichols and Memphis Police Department Posted on January 27, 2023
These videos were recorded on the evening of January 7, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee. Video 1 is a police-issued body-worn camera near the intersection of Raines and Ross Rd. Videos 2, 3, and 4 are video footage at the second location, a residential neighborhood. Video 2 is from a pole camera and contains no audio. Videos 3 and 4 are police-issued body-worn camera videos. Those factors/potential realities probably impacted cities from Memphis to our north/south borders and the west coast re making decisions as you noted.

He was 3 houses away from his mother.
I worked with him. He was a rather small guy. They beat him and watched him dying. He only lasted 3 more days due to machines.
All of the cops that beat him should die in prison. The.EMTs should never work again in medicine.
Watch the video again. Unmarked cars, violently attacked for no reason. Memphis PO already admitted that he was NOT reckless driving so there was no reason to stop him.
And he ran for his life. Unfortunately he didn’t make it. They beat him to death 3 houses away from his mother.
His mother’s house was just 3 houses from where he was beaten to death.
Wrong. He didn’t do drugs.
Exactly. I am in Memphis and they are supposed to be going after real criminals.
You watch it again. He was drop kicked, beaten and left to die.
Not a chance. They are all going to do real time.
I worked with this young man and he was flat out murdered by police. I would run too if attacked like him.
Except he wasnt doing 20 over. They lied. They pulled all traffic video and he broke no laws.
You accurately summed it up. How anyone can justify this is a sick f@ck.
They weren’t beating him to a pulp when they first pulled him out of his car. They were trying to turn him over on his stomach and get control of his arms and hands so they could cuff him.
They stopped him for no reason. This was confirmed by the Memphis Police Dept who reviewed all footage along the route he was driving.
They bum rushed the car and cursed him and snatched him out of the car, attacked him, pepper sprayed him, and used a stun gun on him.
By this time, he obviously “FEARed for his life” and ran. Remember he was accused of reckless driving. 3 houses from his mother’s house he was caught, tortured, and battered to death.
By the way, all 5 of the officers was bigger than him. He was 150 pounds. They should have been able to handle cuffing him without the kicks to the head and the sustained beating.
He wanted to fight with the cops.
Remember that old song, “I Fought the Law and the Law Won”?
When they first jerked him out of his car he was a bit farther away from his mother’s house. Where he was beaten to death was much closer.
There are plenty of people who are stopped by the cops who experience fear known as, “Black and White Fever,” buy you don’t see them fighting with the cops.
