Mitt Romney Joins Democrats in Urging Mitch Daniels to Enter Indiana U.S. Senate Race

Former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R), who Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said would make a “terrific candidate” for U.S. Senate, is now receiving praise from Democrats like Sen. John Hickenlooper (CO) as he decides whether to enter the U.S. Senate race in Indiana.

Daniels is considering joining the race to replace outgoing Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN), who is running for Indiana governor in 2024.

In anticipation of the decision, Daniels traveled to Capitol Hill on Wednesday to meet with senators to discuss the “life of a senator,” he told reporters.

Daniels is likable, a very nice man, but he wouldn’t run for president all those years ago because he Democratic machine of personal destruction. I honestly don’t know if I trust him.
